***** Dallon's Point of View *****

Dad called me, early in the morning.

"Hello?" I murmured, rubbing my eyes.

"G-Go hug y-your b-boyfriend." He whispered tearfully.

"Huh?"

"He j-just gave us the m-money for E-Elle..."

"Really?"

"He d-did!"

"That's great." I smiled.

Dad took a deep breath. "His Mom told me... the money was for a surgery that could give his sight back... but he gave it to us instead."

"Oh my...." I whispered. "That's crazy."

"G-Go hug him."

"I will."

Dad hung up. I ran to see Brendon.

"What the?" He heard me running, obviously.

I tackled him in a hug. That seemed to freak him out and he pushed me off.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Y-You saved m-my sister!"

"Huh?"

"The money!"
"Oh..." He murmured. "Yeah, that."

"You're the best!"

"Not really."

I hugged him again.

"It's not a big deal."

"It's a huge deal!"

"If you say so."

I hugged him incredibly tightly.

"I think that's enough hugging."

"Never."

He groaned.

I continued hugging him.

"Please stop." He murmured. "It's not a big deal."

"You gave your only chance of getting your sight back in order to save my little sister."

"Well yeah, but it doesn't matter."

"It really matters!"

"It doesn't Dal."

"Yeah, it does!"

He just pushed me off and went to sit at his piano.

I frowned slightly.

He started playing his low, fast songs again.

I felt like I should stop him, but i didnt.

Nobody did. His family didn't even say anything about it. He was left to play like that all day.

Even when everyone was heading to sleep, he was still playing.

I ended up walking in to check on him.

"Bren?" I whispered.

He responded with a grunt.

"It's getting late, I think you should come to bed..."

He shook his head.

"Please?"

I just got another shake of the head.

"Bren, please. I'm worried about you. Just come to bed."

"Go away."

"No."
