The others in the dorm had taken some artistic liberties after finding Brendon and had drawn all over him. His face, his arms. They took the blanket too.

I found him in the morning walking around in circles, looking for a bathroom.

I helped him into one near the cafeteria.

He didn't say anything to me.

He went and washed his hands. He rubbed his face and the pen didn't budge.

I grabbed a paper towel and started on his face.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Somebody drew on you while you were asleep."

"Oh..."

"Just, stay still."

He stood still as I rubbed his face with the paper towels.

The bastard had used permanent ink, and it didn't want to come off.

Brendon was getting impatient.

"Just forget it. It's nothing too bad, right?"

"Uh, I wouldn't say that."

He frowned. "What does it say?"

"Just stuff."

"Dallon!"

"Brendon they're college kids! What do you expect?!"

"I expect you to tell me!"

"Besides the many penises, there's the word faggot more times than I can count, as well as random squiggles and I think that's a middle finger?"

He didn't say anything.

"Happy?!"

He just began scrubbing at his face.

"Stop, it's not budging.

He grunted in frustration.

"You wouldn't happen to have makeup?"

"NO! I WOULD NOT!"

"It's not my fault!"

He started crying.

"I'm sorry."

He grabbed his cane and quickly left the bathroom, before heading to the staircase. He didn't even wait for me, before practically beginning to run up them.

I followed to make sure he wouldn't fall. When he did, we both toppled down. His tears just deepened.

"Brendon..." I sighed softly.

"I-I'm sorry." Was all he said before getting up again.

I took his arm and led slowly up the stairs. He went and showered to hopefully get some ink off.

I just sat on my bed.

It only looked slightly better when he returned.

"It's lighter?" I said unsurely.

He sat on his bed in silence.

I didn't say anything else.

We sat in silence for a long time.

"Why do people hate me?"

"They don't hate you, Bren. They're just being idiots."

"If you say so."

He nodded.

"College sucks."

"Yep."

"I don't want to be here."
