*****Brendon's Point Of View*****
After convincing Matt to drive me home, I locked myself in my room and just cried.
I felt bad, but he just set something off and I couldn't do it anymore. I barely know what it is.
He just didn't understand me, at all, and there's no way he, or anyone, could.
Except for maybe Mom.
She'd come into my room, and she sat in the bed beside me and rubbed my back.
I know I shouldn't've done it. I was overwhelmed with emotion and I just blew up. Now Dallon probably hated me, and I didn't even have a good reason, and he was mostly nice to me, and being boyfriends wasn't that bad.
The label just freaked me out.
"M-momma..." I choked out.
"Shh. It's okay Bren." She whispered gently. "What happened?"
"I-I messed up."
"What happened?"
"I-I told Dallon I d-didn't wanna be his b-boyfriend anymore."
"What?! Why?"
"C-cause I was upset!"
"Bren... sweetie..."
I couldn't stop crying.
"I-I... I think you need to call him."
"W-what if he hates me?"
"He won't hate you, Bren. Just call him and apologise, and get back together, okay?" She paused. "I haven't seen you so happy since you were 8 years old. He's made an incredible difference in your life, please don't let him go."
"B-but he might be angry...."
"Just try." She placed my phone in my hand.
As soon as I started the call, I wanted it to end. I was still crying, and was furiously wiping my eyes.
"Hello?" Dallon answered.
"I-I'm sorry!" I wailed.
"Bren? Hey, hey, it's okay. I know you were upset. Don't worry, I'm not mad."
"B-but it was mean!"
"I know. Do you want me to come over?"
"P-please."
"I'll see you soon."
"O-okay."
Dallon hung up.
I just sat and sniffled. I still felt so bad.
Mom just hugged me.
"H-he's gonna come over, a-and then I'm gonna mess it up again..."
"No, you're not, Bren."
"I-I might." I whispered.
She hugged me.
"W-why am I so bad at this?" I asked.
"It's okay Bren. You're not bad."
"Y-yeah I am." I whimpered.
"You're not, okay? You just... haven't had much practice. And that's totally okay! Don't worry about it."
"It's embarrassing..." I mumbled.
"Don't worry about it, Bren. It's okay."
"I guess."
She hugged me. "I love you."
"I love you too Mom."
She wiped my eyes and put my glasses back on before leading me out to the kitchen and pouring me a drink.
