*****Dallon's Point Of View*****
Bringing Brendon to see Ellie seemed like a good idea, but I was having second thoughts.
"When we arrived, she was crying out. "I-it's so bad Dally!"
"I know, I know."
"I-I want it gone! I want the pain gone!"She just cried into my chest.
"It's alright, it's okay."
"I-I wanna go home." Elle whispered.
"I know, but Dallys here now and so's Brendon."
"I missed B-Bren." She whispered. "He's a good friend."
I brought him over to the side of the bed.
She then grabbed onto his arm.
Brendon seemed uncomfortable.
She just squeezed tight.
"Elle, gentle. If you're gonna squeeze someone, squeeze me."
She then screamed in pain.
Brendon panicked. I grabbed both of her hands.
"It's so bad, it's so bad, it's so bad!"
I went to get a doctor.
They just said they couldn't do anything.
I managed to get her some strong painkillers.
"I-I wanna be at home and have all my soft toys to cuddle and squeeze. A-and my fluffy blanket and m-my nice comfy bed."
"I'm sorry Elle."
"C-can you come on the bed so we can cuddle?"
I moved over and hugged her.
"Thanks."
Brendon was silent.
"C-can you take me home D-Dally?"
"Not yet Ellie."
"Please!"
"I'm sorry..."
She just wailed.
Brendon tried comforting her.
She curled up tightly and had moved her arms around her stomach.
"I love you Elle." I murmured.
"W-why isn't it better?"
"I don't know. I'm sorry."
"T-tell the doctors to make it better."
"We're trying."
She whimpered.
Brendon hugged her.
"I-it really hurts Dally."
"I know. I know. We're doing all we can."
"T-tell the doctors to fix it!"
I sighed softly.
"Please!"
Brendon attempted to talk to her.
"I-it hurts so bad! I j-just don't wanna hurt anymore!"
"I'm sorry."
When the next doctor came in, she cried and pleaded.
The doctor just grimaced.
"Please! It hurts so bad doctor!"
He took her vitals and left without a word.
"He's so mean!"
I didn't say anything.
She didn't talk until the next doctor came, which was a few hours. They didn't come until she let out and eat piercing scream.
Brendon was so shocked he fell off the bed.
Afterwards, she was sobbing and shaking and she was clinging onto me.
I was so worried.
The doctors did nothing.
"The only way to fix it is the operation. It's not our fault that you can't afford it."
She continued wailed.
The doctors left, and I was furious. My sister was in so much pain and they didn't care.
Brendon didn't seem impressed either.
"A-am I gonna die Dally?" Elle whispered.
"No, no, you're not."
"O-okay..."
"I promise."
She just nodded.
A nurse came in with a tray of food. Elle went pale just seeing it.
"I d-don't wanna e-eat..."
"You have to."
Elle shook her head and gagged slightly.
The nurse made her eat. She cried the whole time.
When the nurse left, she was super pale and clung onto me.
I held her close.
"I-I feel sick..."
"I know."
She whimpered.
I held a sick bag close to her mouth.
It didn't take long for her to throw up the food.
I just sighed .
"I-I hate this Dally."
"I know."
She sobbed.
"It's gonna be alright."
It wouldn't, but she didn't need to know that.
"O-Okay..." She murmured, wiping her eyes.
Brendon and I stayed until visiting hours were over.
"B-Bye Dally. A-Are you gonna come back tomorrow?"
"I will, I promise."
"Okay." She mumbled.
I gave her one last hug before we left.
As we left, I couldn't help but sigh.
Brendon didn't say anything at all.
I just drove out of the parking space and away from the hospital.
"A-Are you till going to New York?" Brendon asked eventually.
"I don't know."
He nodded.
"Im sorry..." I murmured.
"Don't... I understand."
I sighed again.
"Can you drop me at Mom's place?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Thanks."
"It's fine."
I didn't say anything else as I drove to his house.
When we got back, I just went and laid in his bed. Brendon went to talk to his Mom.
I felt like all the life had just been sucked out of me.
It was awful.
I started getting teary.
***** Brendon's Point of View *****
I think Mom was more shocked than anything.
"A-Are you sure? Bren..."
"I am sure, I promise."
She hugged me in silence.
I didn't anything else.
