In the morning, Brendon seemed back to his usual persona. Not happy, but not sobbing his eyes out at the piano at 4am.
"Are you busy Dallon?" He asked.
"Hmm? I'm just getting ready to go to class. What do you need?"
"I just need you to drop me off at one of the main buildings. I don't know. It's something Mom told me to do."
"We have music theory first up, but sure. Whatever you need. Do you know what building?"
"Not particularly. I'll call Mom."
"Alright. You want cereal or do you wanna brace the cafeteria?"
"Cereal is fine?"
"Cheerios?"
"Yes please."
I made him a bowl and placed it in front of him.
"Thanks Dallon."
"No problems. Spoon's to the left."
"Teaspoon or tablespoon?"
"Tablespoon."
Brendon nodded and picked up the spoon.
I went back to packing all my books.
Brendon finished his cereal and put the bowl in the sink.
"I'll just call Mom..."
"Okay."
I only got to hear his half of the conversation.
"Hey, Mom, what was that thing you were telling me about?
"Yeah? Okay, why?"
"I don't need to go though Mom."
"I'm not going."
"No, I'm not. Bye."
"What was that?" I asked.
"Nothing, don't worry."
What was it though?"
"Mom is trying to make me go to this disability group thing."
"Oh."
"She said it's part of my scholarship." He grumbled. "Whatever."
"It could be interesting?"
"It's literally whining to each other for an hour. I'm not going, okay? If I want to do that, I'll go and tell my siblings."
"Your Mom wants you to go."
"My Mom has no clue about what's best for me." He muttered, before going to his bedroom.
I sighed.
"What if I come too?"
"I'm not going."
"Bren, come on. If it's part of your scholarship, you have to go. I know the guy in charge of scholarships, and trust me, he's an asshole who'll take yours away on nothing more than a rumour."
"I doubt it."
"I've seen it happen."
"I won't go and I'll be fine. Just you wait."
"You're going."
"No I'm not."
"Brendon, come on. Go once. Just to see. I won't make you go any more after that."
"I'm not!" He stated. "It's embarrassing!"
"It won't be that bad? Come on, nobody's gonna know."
