I couldn't focus in class at all. Nothing was making sense, and I couldn't remember anything from even an hour ago.
All I knew was that Dad was in a coma and I had to stay with Dallon until he was better.
I hadn't said a word since I first told Dallon. There was nothing I could say.
It was better just to stay in silence.
No one else seemed to think so.
"Brendon! Seriously!" Dallon snapped for like the 3rd time today.
I just frowned.
"Stop this! It's not helping anyone!"
I sighed.
"Stop it!"
I just walked away.
I wasn't sure where I was going, and soon enough, I hit a wall.
I sighed and just slid down the wall to the floor.
Dallon huffed.
I didn't understand how he could be so insensitive.
I heard him walk over and pull me to my feet. "The silent treatment is only hurting us both, Brendon."
It's not like he was the reason I wasn't talking.
"C'mon, please talk to me."
Right now, in was just trying to not get upset. Him being mad at me didn't help.
He hugged me.
I broke down and clung onto him.
***** Dallon's Point of View *****
Brendon's silence was getting really frustrating. I couldn't help him if he didn't talk to me.
The only thing he did was cry.
I understood, but I just know that I could help him feel better if he didn't insist on being silent.
He was clung onto me tightly and wouldn't let go, which would have been fine if I didn't have a class.
"Brendon...please. I've got to go."
He shook his head into my chest.
"Please."
"N-Nuh-uh." He whispered.
"You can hug me as much as you want after."
"I n-need you..."
"I'm sorry..."
He wailed in despair.
I sighed and wrapped my arms around him.
"D-Don't l-leave!"
"Fine."
He sniffled. "T-Thank you."
"It's okay."
He didn't say much. Just snuggled up close to me for quite a few hours.
I sat and stroked his hair for the whole time.
He didn't seem to be getting any better.
"Do you want any food?" I asked.
He shook his head.
I sighed.
"I j-just need y-you."
"I'm not special Bren."
"You are t-to me."
"Well, okay."
He sniffled.
I started rubbing his back.
"Y-You're the best."
I hummed in response.
"Do you k-know how Dad is?"
"No, sorry."
"Can we ask someone?"
"I guess?"
He waited for me expectantly.
"Later."
"B-But Dad!"
"It'll be alright."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
He just nodded.
I kissed his forehead.
"I love you Dally."
"I love you too."
