A day later.....

Kacey's POV:
Today, I go back to school. The only thing I look forward to is seeing Rick again. She's my best friend, and the only person I could trust.

Daniel: Kacey! It's 7:00, time to get up!

Kacey: ok, coming!
I say as I get out of bed and pick out some clothes. Today I decided to go for a simple look, so I picked out a grey hoodie, along with black skinny jeans and a pair of black converse. I quickly brushed my hair and did a side braid.

Oh damn it! I forgot to pack my bag yesterday and what's today?? Oh yeah! Tuesday, so I quickly packed my Tuesday books and rushed down stairs. Grabbing my phone and seeing a text from Rick, saying:

R: why did you say Love You???

She remembers what I have said yesterday, when texting her in the conversation when saying bye to her, I said love you without even being aware of what I was saying. I was about to put my phone in my pocket when Dad, well really for how he's been treating me lately he doesn't deserve to be called that, well when Joey came down he said:

Joey: I saw your phone Kacey and whole conversation, end it now with that boy.
He said as he walked into the kitchen
He thinks Rick is a boy! Well guess what Joey, Rick is a girl. Since when did he care? I responded to her text with:

K: I don't know, I'm beginning to question that myself

I put my phone back in my pocket and go to the kitchen for breakfast. Seeing everyone making toast, so guess I'll have toast then, I thought as I put my school bag down, took out a slice of bread and put it in the toaster. When it popped out, I spread on some butter and ate it when the butter has melted.

Joey was talking to Daniel aka my step dad, while Joey saw me going for the door, as Daniel saw me and said:

Daniel: bye, have a nice day!

Kacey: bye!

I walked to the school bus stop, where I waited and waited for the school bus. It's been about fifteen minutes now, the school bus should've been here about ten minutes ago. I texted Rick asking her:

K: did the school bus come for u?

R: yeah it did, I'm almost at school. Where r u?

K: at the the school bus stop, I've been waiting fifteen minutes.

R: there's usually three buses that collect us and so far there is one right in front of the bus that I'm in.

K: I think I missed all three buses.

R: I don't think u have, just keep waiting and I'll text u further information.

K: ok, thanks.

Why isn't that fricken bus coming? Well hello I'm waiting, come get me! Oh finally! The school bus comes, and stops by, as I get on I was greeted by Sally and got in my seat as I texted Rick telling her I'm on the bus.

K: the bus finally came. I'm safe.

R: thank god! I began getting worried about u.
