Chapter 17

{Christmas Eve, Luna's POV} 

I was putting the last of my gifts for Chris under the tree I walked into the kitchen and turned on the coffee pot I felt Chris wrap his arms around my waist and nuzzled my neck I felt my cheeks get warm he kissed my cheek. 

"What would you like for breakfast my love?" I asked. 

"Anything you make is fine." Chris replied. 

I leaned back against his chest and gazed up at Chris, he gazed down at me and kissed me we smiled against each other's lips I cooked bacon and pancakes for breakfast Chris and I sat down at the table and ate breakfast together. After breakfast Chris and I were snuggling on the couch watching TV, I grabbed Chris's Tampa Bay Lightning blanket and covered us up I held his free hand and interlaced our fingers I nuzzled his neck. 

"I love you." 

"I love you, too." 

Chris and I spent the day lounging on the couch watching holiday specials I climbed off of Chris and walked into the kitchen and started cooking dinner I set the table for dinner when dinner was ready Chris came into the kitchen we sat down at the table. After dinner Chris helped me with the dishes he washed while I dried and put the dishes away, we left the kitchen and walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. 

"What would you like to do tonight?" I asked. 

"I was thinking about going out with my brothers." Chris said. 

"Babe it's Christmas eve I'm pretty sure the guys are spending it with their families and I was hoping we could spend some time together since this is our first Christmas together as a couple." 

"I'll make it up to you when I come back home." 

I could feel myself growing angry with Chris, I just wanted to have a nice night alone with Chris and he was going to leave me alone on Christmas eve to hang out with his brothers. 

 "I wanted to have a nice night with you and watch A Christmas Carol the Alastair Sim's version on DVD and you're just going to leave me here alone." I said. 

"It's only Christmas eve it's not like it's valentine's day or your birthday." Chris replied. 

"You know what fine go out with your brothers see if I care!!" I said angrily. 

"Why do you even care you hate Christmas." He explained. 

I got up off the couch and walked upstairs to mine and Chris's room I packed a bag of clothes I grabbed my coat out of the closet and put it on I grabbed my purse and bag of clothes and walked downstairs.

"Where are you going?" 

"I'm not telling you." 

I left the house and slammed the door behind me I walked down the porch steps and walked down the street it was really cold I grabbed my phone out of my purse and called Jamie, I kept walking while I waited for her to pick up. 

"Hey Luna what's up?" Jamie asked. 

"Chris and I had a fight because he wanted to go out with the guys and I walked out." I explained. 

"Stay where you are Ricky and I are coming to get you." 

A few minutes later I spotted Ricky's car pull up I opened the backseat door and climbed into the backseat and closed the door behind me when we arrived at the house, I followed Ricky and Jamie up to the house and followed them into the house. 

"Luna come with me and I'll show you to the guest room." Jamie said. 

I followed Jamie upstairs she led me down the hallway and opened the door I walked into the room and sat my purse and bag down on the bed I took off my coat and hung it up I sat down on the bed Jamie sat beside me. 

"Why did Chris think that Ricky, Balz, Vinny, Ryan, and Ghost were going to go out tonight?" 

"I have no idea." 

"Your more than welcome to hang out downstairs with me and Ricky we were just about to watch A Christmas Carol the Alastair Sim's version." Jamie said. 

"As soon as I change into my pajamas I'll be down." I replied. 

Jamie left the guest room and closes the door behind her I grabbed my pajamas out of my bag along with my toiletries I walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom, I left the guest room and walked downstairs. I joined Jamie and Ricky in the living room I sat down on the couch and watched A Christmas Carol when the movie went off, we just hung out in the living room and listened to Christmas Carols on the radio. 

"Luna why did Chris think we were going to hang out tonight?" Ricky asked. 

"I don't know but that's what he said that you guys were going to hang out tonight but I figured out for myself that you guys weren't going out because it's Christmas eve and everyone was spending time with families, girlfriends or wife to-be." I explained. 

"I can't believe Chris was going to leave you home alone on Christmas eve he could have at least spent time with you." 

"Sometimes Chris can be a bonehead when it comes to relationships." 

"Thank you, Jamie, I didn't have the heart to call him a bonehead but it's true he sucks at love." I said. 

"Don't worry Luna, he'll figure it out and come to his senses." Ricky said. 

"I hope so I didn't mean to fight with him, he just made me so angry and I left before I said something that I might regret." I replied. 

I walked upstairs to the guest room and walked into the room I closed the bedroom door and climbed into bed I was looking through the music on my phone and decided to listen to "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls, as I was listening to the song I kept thinking about Chris and started to cry I wiped my tears and stopped the song and fell asleep.
