Chapter 53

{Luna's POV} 

I was in the kitchen packing Celaena and Mandy's lunches while the girls were finishing getting ready for school Celaena and Mandy came into the kitchen I handed them their lunch bags we left the kitchen and put on our winter jackets. Mandy, Celaena, and I left the house and climbed into my SUV, I put the key in the ignition and started the engine I turned on the heat and drove away when we arrived at school I parked in front of the school and killed the engine. 

"Mom I'm nervous about presenting our history project." 

"Celaena, you will be just fine I promise." 

"Mandy and I are getting a ride home after school from Kevin since we have a half of day." Celaena said. 

"What time is your date tonight?" I asked. 

"We were going to go on our date after I drop my backpack off at home." 

Celaena and Mandy climbed out of the SUV, I started the engine and drove away when I arrived home I parked in front of the house and killed the engine I grabbed my purse and climbed out of the SUV, I walked up to the house I opened the storm door and unlocked the inside door and walked inside the house. I closed the inside door behind me and locked it I took off my winter jacket and hung it up I sat my purse on the hallway table I walked upstairs to mine and Chris's room I peeked inside our room he was still sound asleep I quietly walked into the room I kicked off my boots and removed my jeans I gently climbed back into bed with Chris. Chris draped his arm across me and gently pulled me towards him I felt my cheeks grow warm I softly kissed his cheek. 

"Christopher." 

"Hmm." 

"You look really sexy when you're asleep." I giggled. 

"When I get up your ass is mine for calling me Christopher." He mumbled playfully. 

"Ooh I'm so scared." 

I climbed out of bed I grabbed my jeans and combat boots I walked down the hallway and quietly opened the door to my private reading room I walked into the room and quietly shut the door so Chris wouldn't hear I put my jeans back on I sat down on the couch and put my The Nightmare Before Christmas combat boots back on. I sat down on the couch and grabbed my book off the coffee table and read I saw the door knob turn and seen the door open Chris came into the room and closed the door he joined me on the couch I sat my book back down on the coffee table.

"Your ass is still mine." 

"Whatever you say my love." 

"Are you going to come willingly?" Chris asked with a smile.

"Hell, no I'm not going willingly you should know me better than that my love." I giggled. 

I got up off the couch and walked pass Chris, he wrapped his arms around my waist I wiggled free and left the room I walked downstairs I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch and watched cartoons. 

"Baby I'll be back I'll text you when I am on my way home." 

"Be careful babe and I'll see you when you get home." 

I heard Chris leave the house a few minutes later I heard Celaena and Mandy come into the house the girls came into the living room and sat down on the couch with me we were watching cartoons. 

"Mom can you help me get ready for my date?" Celaena asked. 

"Of course, I'll help you get ready." I said. 

Celaena and I walked upstairs to her room she took a shower while I looked through her closet for the perfect outfit for her date with Kevin, Celaena came out of the bathroom wrapped in a bath towel and a towel wrapped around her head. I showed Celaena the black dress that I found in her closet she looked at the dress and smiled she put on the dress I zipped up the back for her I curled Celaena's hair and applied a little make-up to her eyes and lips I handed her, her mirror.
