Chapter 18

{Christmas, Chris's POV} 

When I woke up, I got up out of bed and got dressed and walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom, I made the bed and walked downstairs the house is to quite without Luna and I have no one to talk too. I hated being without her last night I hated to sleep without Luna and it really sucked waking up without her I walked into the kitchen and turned on the coffee pot I sat down at the table and called Luna. 

"Hello?" 

"Baby please come home I am so sorry for what happened last night I am really lonely without you and the house doesn't feel like a home without you it's to quite without you I have no one to talk too I miss you so much." 

"Babe as soon as Ricky and Jamie wake up, I'll ask them to drive me home and I miss you too babe." Luna sobbed. 

"Honey it's okay don't cry you'll see me soon." I said soothingly. 

When I got off the phone with Luna, I decided to try to cook breakfast for her for a change I was looking through the cupboard I grabbed my phone off the counter and called my mom for help. 

"Merry Christmas, Christopher." 

"Merry Christmas to you too, mom." 

"Alright I can tell by your voice that your about to cry so you may as well tell me what you did." my mom said. 

"I made Luna upset last night because I was going to go out with the guys and she knew the guys weren't going out because it was Christmas Eve and she got mad at me and left Luna stayed the night at Ricky and Jamie's and she's on her way back home." I explained somberly. 

"Christopher, I know a mother shouldn't say this to their child but when it comes to love you suck at it." 

"I know and I am planning to surprise Luna with a nice breakfast. What is a fool proof breakfast that I can't screw up?" 

"Bacon and eggs are fool proof." my mom said. 

"Thanks mom, Luna and I will see you later on today for dinner." I said. 

When I got off the phone with my mom, I sat my phone on the counter and started cooking breakfast I set the table for breakfast a few minutes later I heard Luna knocking at the door I answered the door Luna threw her arms around my neck and kissed me I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her. Luna laid her head against my chest and cried I kissed her hair and gently rubbed her back I closed the door and locked it and comforted Luna. 

"I missed you so much last night I wanted to come home but it was after midnight." Luna said. 

"If you would have called, I would have come to get you because I was still up." I replied. 

"I'm afraid of losing you." She sobbed. 

"Luna look at me for a minute." I said. 

Luna pulled back but kept her head down I gently lifted her chin up and looked into her beautiful amber eyes and wiped her tears away with my thumb I leaned down and kissed her forehead. 

"You're not going to lose me I promise." 

"I love you, Chris." 

"I love you too, Luna. Come into the kitchen I have a surprise for you." I said. 

Luna hung up her coat I held her hand and led her into the kitchen we sat down at the table Luna looked at me with a surprised look her face I looked at her and smiled. 

"You made breakfast?" Luna asked. 

"Yeah, after I called my mom and asked her what is a fool proof breakfast to make and my mom told me that bacon and eggs are fool proof." I said. 

After breakfast Luna and I were sitting on the living room floor opening our Christmas gifts Luna leaned over and kissed me I smiled against her lips I brushed the back of my index finger against her cheek causing her to blush. 

"Thank you for replacing my coffin shaped ring that matches yours. How did you know that I didn't have it?" 

"I noticed you didn't have the ring anymore because I remember that you always wore it ever since the day that I gave it to you." 

"I remember when you gave me the ring, I was celebrating Christmas with your family because you didn't want me to feel left out that's when you showed me the ring and asked me if I would like it and I said yes." Luna explained. 

When Luna and I were finished opening our Christmas gifts we took our gifts upstairs to our room and put them away when I was finished putting my gifts away, I sat down on the bed Luna walked over to me and climbed onto my lap I laid back on the bed and looked up at her. 

"Are we staying the night at your mom's?" 

"We can if you want." 

"I don't mind staying the night at your mom's house because either way I'm going to be in bed early anyway." Luna said. 

"I'll be in bed early right along with you." I replied. 

Luna leaned down and kissed me she climbed off my lap I got up off the bed and packed an overnight bag I grabbed my Philadelphia Flyers blanket and Luna's Washington Capitals blanket to put on the bed in my old room since it's chilly in there. I grabbed my coat and put it on I grabbed my keys, phone, wallet, and overnight bag and walked downstairs Luna came downstairs with her overnight bag she put on her coat I took Luna by the hand and kissed her under the mistletoe. We grabbed our bags and left the house Luna and I walked down to the SUV, I unlocked the doors we put our overnight bags into the backseat and climbed into the front seat I put the key in the ignition and started the engine I turned on the heater and drove away. 

"Babe, your old room is going to be freezing tonight." 

"Don't worry I'll keep you warm I promise." 

  When we arrived at my mom's house I parked in front of the house and killed the engine Luna and I got out of the SUV and grabbed our overnight bags from the backseat and walked up to the house I opened the front door and led Luna into the house. Luna and I walked upstairs to my room we walked into the room I sat my bag down on the bed and took off my coat and hung it up in the closet Luna and I walked back downstairs we walked into the kitchen my mom was putting the turkey into the oven.

"Merry Christmas, Mrs. Cerulli." Luna said. 

"Merry Christmas to you, too Luna." my mom said. 

"Mom where's dad, Julie, and Nick?" 

"Your father, Julie, and Nick are in the living room watching TV." 

I walked over to my mom and gave her a hug she hugged me back I followed Luna into the living room we sat down on the couch and watched TV with my dad, Julie, and Nick they were watching football Luna snuggled up beside me, I wrapped my arm around her, she laid her head on my chest I kissed her hair. Luna looked up at me and smiled I leaned down and kissed her, she got up off the couch and left the living room I followed behind her, we walked into the kitchen. 

"Mom would you like some help?" I asked. 

"Can you please take the turkey out of the oven." my mom said. 

Luna pulled the oven door down and I took the turkey out of the oven and sat the tray on the counter my dad, Julie, and Nick came into the kitchen Luna was making coffee after dinner everyone was gathered in the living room Luna and I were sitting on the floor Julie and Nick grabbed the gifts from under the tree and passed them out Luna and I opened our gifts. Later on, that night Luna and I were snuggling in my bed I wrapped my arm around her, she laid her head on my chest she looked up at me and kissed me. I reached over and turned out the light Luna and I fell asleep.
