Chapter 40

{Chris's POV} 

When I woke up Luna was snuggled up beside me with her head on my chest, I kissed her forehead and gently stroked her arm I felt Luna starting to stir she gazed up at me and blushed I kissed her and smiled against her lips. Luna propped herself up on her elbow and gazed down at me I reached up and stroked her long jet-black hair she laid back down beside me and giggled. 

"Tell me why your so giggly this morning?" I asked with a smile in my voice. 

"I was remembering when we first started dating and how my love for you grew and grew and now that we are married my love for you grows more and more." Luna said with a smile. 

"My love for you grows more and more each day as well I never thought I would get married or have children until you came into my life." 

"Would you like to have breakfast in bed?" 

"Yes please." I said with a smirk. 

I grabbed my t-shirt off the floor and passed it to Luna, she kissed me I grabbed my underwear off the floor and put them on I grabbed the remote to my stereo and turned it on I pressed play on the remote and Slipknot started playing. Luna came back into the bedroom carrying a tray she closed our bedroom door and locked it I got up out of bed and took the tray from her I sat the tray on the bed I walked over to Luna and scooped her up in my arms I carried her back to our bed I sat Luna on the bed I sat back down on the bed with her. 

"Celaena and Gaia are still sound asleep." 

"I wonder what time they went to sleep?" 

"We could ask them when they wake up." Luna said. 

"What would you like for your birthday?" I asked. 

"I don't really know what I want for my birthday." 

After breakfast Luna took the tray back downstairs, I climbed out of bed and got dressed I put on a Slipknot t-shirt, black jeans, and Vans I walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom Luna was getting dressed, I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her cheek. 

"I love you beautiful." I replied. 

"I love you too handsome." She said with a smile. 

I made the bed and walked downstairs I walked into the kitchen Celaena and Gaia were sitting at the table having breakfast I made myself and Luna another cup of coffee Luna came into the kitchen I handed her, her coffee mug. 

"Dad can you or mom teach me to drive?" 

"Doesn't your school still offer Driver's Ed?" 

"Nope they stopped offering Driver's Ed so if student's want to drive they have to learn on their own." Celaena explained. 

"I'll take you driving your father taught me how to drive we'll go after you finish eating." Luna said. 

I left the kitchen I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, I was watching South Park I heard Luna and Celaena leave the house Gaia came into the living room and sat down in the recliner. 

"I know what Luna would like for her birthday but she's afraid to ask for it." 

"What does she want for her birthday that she's afraid to ask for it?" 

"Luna would like a new car for her birthday but she's afraid to ask you for it." Gaia said. 

"She could have just asked me it's not like I would have told her no." I replied.
