Chapter 39

{Luna's POV} 

When I arrived home from dropping Celaena off at school I parked the SUV in front of the house and killed the engine I grabbed my purse and climbed out of the SUV and walked up to the house. I opened the storm door and unlocked the inside door I walked inside the house I closed the door behind me and locked it I took off my jacket and hung it up I sat my purse on the hallway table I heard Chris in the kitchen and walked into the kitchen. I snuck up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist he looked at me and smiled I went to walk away Chris scooped me up in his arms and kissed me I felt the cool metal from his lip piercings brush press against my lips. 

"Happy Birthday my gothic prince charming." 

"Thank you, my gothic princess." 

"I was going to surprise you with breakfast in bed." I said. 

"I'll let you surprise me in bed later." Chris replied with a smirk. 

I felt my cheeks grow warm Chris kissed me once more and gently put me down he handed me a cup of coffee I took a sip of coffee and sat my mug down on the counter and grabbed eggs and bacon out of the fridge and started cooking breakfast. When breakfast was ready Chris and I sat down at the table and ate breakfast together he leaned over and kissed my cheek I looked at him and smiled. 

"I love you, baby." 

"I love you too, babe." 

After breakfast I washed up the dishes and placed them on the drain board, I dried my hands and left the kitchen I walked into the living room Chris was talking on the phone I joined him on the couch when he got off the phone, he wrapped his arm around me. 

"Baby, I'm going to go hang out with the guys and Nick for a little bit we are going to get Celaena a birthday gift and Gaia is on her way over to celebrate mine and Celaena's birthday." Chris said. 

"That's fine babe have fun and be safe." I replied. 

Chris kissed me and left the house I grabbed my phone and sent a group text to Kylie, Jamie, Gaia, Ashley, and Ryan Ashley I waited for them to text me back to let me know if they wanted to help me throw Chris and Celaena a surprise birthday party I checked my phone I got a reply back from the girls. 

{TEXT}: We will be more than glad to help you throw a surprise birthday party for Chris and Celaena ~ Gaia, Jamie, Kylie, Ryan Ashley, and Ashley 

A few minutes later the girls were knocking at the door I got up off the couch and answered the door Ryan Ashley, Jamie, Ashley, Kylie, and Gaia came into the house I closed the door and locked it we all walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. 

"Luna is it okay if I bake Chris and Celaena's birthday cakes?" Jamie asked. 

"I don't mind if you bake the cakes, I have a lot of cake decorations that you can use as well." I said. 

"Ryan Ashley and I will go get the decorations for the party." Ashley replied. 

"Gaia and I will go and get Chris and Celaena's gifts can one of you text one of the guys and tell them to keep Chris and Celaena away from the house until this evening I forgot to tell Chris to take a suit with him before he left." I explained. 

"Luna don't worry we'll tell the guys and we'll ask one of the guys to stop here and get Chris a suit for this evening and we'll have them take a dress for Celaena as well." 

Kylie handed me her car keys Gaia and I left the house we climbed into Kylie's car I put the key in the ignition and started the engine and drove away I thought to myself as I was driving to the mall Chris is right, I need my own vehicle dream car or not. When we arrived at the mall, I parked the car in the parking lot and killed the engine Gaia and I climbed out of the car and walked inside the mall.
