Chapter 44

{Chris's POV} 

When I woke up, I climbed out of bed and got dressed I put an Eighteen Visions t-shirt, black jeans, and Vans I walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom, I made the bed and walked downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and turned on the coffee pot I heard the front door open and heard it close. 

"Christopher where are you?" 

"I'm in the kitchen." 

Luna came into the kitchen she looked as if she had been crying, she ran over to me I wrapped my arms around her Luna buried her face in my chest and cried I held her close and comforted her Celaena came into the kitchen upset. 

"Luna what's the matter?" I asked worried. 

"Celaena and I are just coming from the hospital from seeing my father." Luna sobbed. 

"Is he okay and why didn't you call me?" I asked. 

"My phone battery died and the doctor told me he's not sure if my father is going to make it because his organs are shutting down because of all the alcohol he has drank over the years." 

"I didn't know your father drank." 

"I'm just as shocked as you are." Luna explained. 

I wiped Luna's tears and comforted her the house phone was ringing Luna left the kitchen Celaena sat down at the table I poured her a cup of coffee and sat the mug on the table Luna came back into the kitchen. 

"Who was on the phone?" 

"It was the hospital to tell me that my father is gone." 

"Baby I am really sorry for your loss." I said. 

Thanks babe the hospital was going to call my father's side of the family and tell them so they can plan his funeral." Luna cried. 

Luna walked over to me and wrapped her arms around my waist and laid her head on my chest I wrapped my arms around her and comforted her I kissed the top of her head. 

"I love you Luna-belle." 

"I love you too, Chrissy Poo." 

Luna and I walked into the living room we sat down on the couch Celaena came into the living room and sat down in the recliner we were watching cartoons on Cartoon Network I grabbed my Tampa Bay Lightning throw blanket off the back of the couch and covered us up. I wrapped my arm around Luna she laid her head on my chest I kissed Luna's forehead and brushed the back of my finger against her cheek she started to nod off I gently stroked Luna's hair. 

"Dad, granddad apologized to mom for everything and she accepted his apology." Celaena said. 

"I'm glad that your mother and grandfather worked things out." I said. 

"I sent Kevin a text message to tell him that I wasn't coming to school today." 

"When's the talent show?" 

"The talent show's tomorrow night and I can't believe that granddad apologized to me because he would have to miss me perform." She explained.

"My mom and dad will be there tomorrow I think Nick and Julie are coming as well." I replied. 

Celaena was typing on her phone I kissed Luna's forehead and held her close I grabbed my phone off the coffee table and checked my social media accounts and checked my text messages my phone was ringing and I answered it. 

"Hi. mom." 

"Hi. Chris is Luna with you?" 

"Yeah, she's sound asleep on me why?" I asked confused. 

"Luna left me a voice mail and it was hard to understand what she was saying because it sounded like she was crying and I wanted to make sure you too didn't have a fight." my mom said. 

"Luna and I didn't have a fight she was crying because her father is in the hospital because his organs were shutting down from all the drinking he did over the years. No sooner did Luna and Celaena come home from the hospital when the hospital called the house and told Luna that her father passed away, she is taking this really hard." 

"When Luna wakes up come over to the house because you all need to be with family right now." 

"Mom, you know she's not going to agree to it Luna is just as stubborn as I am." I said. 

"Ask her when she wakes up." my mom replied. 

When I got off the phone with my mom Celaena looked at me and shook her head I looked at her and smiled. 

"I never would have guessed that you and mom are both stubborn." 

"So are you." 

"I'm not stubborn." Celaena said. 

"Yes, you are you got mad because your mother wouldn't let you run around the house without a pull-up on when you were two." I replied. 

When Luna woke up, she got up off the couch and left the living room I got up off the couch and walked into the kitchen Luna was leaning against the counter drinking a vanilla coke I walked over to her and kissed her forehead. 

"My mom wants to know do you want to go over to her house." 

"No thank you I want to stay here with you and Celaena." 

"Mom, dad grandma just texted me she's on her way over with dinner for us." Celaena said walking into the kitchen. 

"Thank you, sweetie." Luna said. 

Celaena left the kitchen Luna wrapped her arms around my neck and smiled I wrapped my arms around her waist I leaned down and kissed her I playfully bit her bottom lip she looked at me and blushed. 

"I love you my graveyard baby." 

"I love you too, count Dracula." 

"Dad, grandma's here." Celaena called. 

Celaena and my mom came into the kitchen I grabbed plates out of the cupboard and sat them on the table and joined Luna, Celaena, and my mom at the table I leaned over and kissed Luna's cheek. After dinner Luna and I washed the dishes, she dried while I washed, I playfully flicked water on her she looked at me and giggled when we were finished doing the dishes Luna walked past me and playfully smacked me on the ass. I snuck up behind Luna and scooped her up in my arms and kissed her she looked at me and giggled I carried Luna upstairs to our room and carried her into the bathroom. When Luna and I came out of the bathroom we climbed into bed I grabbed the remote to my stereo I turned on my stereo and pressed play on the remote Bullet For My Valentine started playing. Luna snuggled up beside me I wrapped my arm around her she laid her head on my chest I turned out the lamp I kissed Luna's forehead we fell asleep. 

{A/N: I didn't mean to make this chapter emotional but I didn't know what else to with Luna's father I felt it was right to kill him off. Don't forget to vote and comment}
