Chapter 57

{Luna's POV} 

When I woke up, I glanced over at Chris he was fast asleep I got up out of bed and left the bedroom I walked downstairs and walked into the kitchen and packed Celaena and Mandy's lunch the girls came into the kitchen. 

"What would you girls like for breakfast?" 

"We're going to grab something on the way to school with Kevin." 

"When Kevin comes to pick you and Mandy up why don't you ask him to join us for dinner?" I asked. 

"I'll ask him." Celaena said. 

Celaena and Mandy grabbed their lunch bags and left the house I turned on the coffee pot and made myself some breakfast when I was finished eating, I washed up my dishes and put them away I fed Binx, Creature, and Jack and gave them fresh water. Chris came into the kitchen and made the coffee I grabbed the coffee creamer out of the fridge and handed it to him I kissed his cheek I put the coffee creamer back into the fridge Chris and I left the kitchen and walked into the living room we sat down on the couch. 

"Baby, I forgot to give you, your very special Christmas gift I forgot I left it in my office and I'd like to give it to you know." 

Chris took my coffee mug and sat it on the coffee table and passed me the wrapped surprise I ripped the wrapping paper and took out a throw blanket and opened it I started crying the minute I saw the photo of my beloved dog on the blanket. 

"Thank you, babe I love it very much." I sobbed. 

"You're very welcome baby, I knew how much your dog meant to you." Chris said.

I folded the blanket and sat it beside me I wiped the tears from my eyes I kissed Chris, he gently slid me onto his lap I grabbed my coffee mug and finished drinking my coffee Chris kissed my cheek. 

"Babe is this pay back for the time I made you cry on Christmas because your mom and I gave you the guitar that you didn't get when your grandfather showed you the guitar?" 

"No, it's no kind of pay back I surprised you with the throw blanket of your dog because I knew how much your dog meant to you and I knew you'd love the throw blanket." 

"I love the blanket very much." I said. 

I climbed off his lap and took my empty mug out into the kitchen and washed up my mug and sat it on the drain board I walked upstairs to mine and Chris's room I got dressed in my usual black on black I walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom I walked downstairs. I walked into the living room and snuggled on the couch with Chris he wrapped his arm around me I laid my head on chest and watched TV, I draped my arm across him. 

"Baby what would you like to do today?" 

"I was going to see Ryan Ashley." 

"You don't want to spend time with me?" Chris asked teasingly. 

"I want to hang out with Ryan Ashley and the rest of the girls for some girl time." I said. 

"Have fun and be safe." 

"I'll be safe I promise." 

I kissed Chris and left the living room I grabbed my leather jacket and put it on I grabbed my purse and left the house I walked down to my SUV and unlocked the door I climbed inside my SUV and put the key in the ignition and started the engine. I spotted Chris walking towards to my SUV, I rolled down my window he handed me my cellphone I put my phone inside of my purse and kissed him. 

"What's the matter my love?" I asked. 

"It's nothing." Chris said. 

"You always were bad at lying tell me what's on your mind."
