Chapter 38

{Chris's POV} 

I was driving Celaena to school we were listening to The Smiths when we arrived at school I parked in front of the school and killed the engine. 

"Dad can I tell you something?" 

"Celaena you can tell me anything." 

"Uncle Angelo's son told me that he likes me." Celaena said. 

"Did you tell your mother?" I asked. 

"I was going to tell her but I chickened out." 

"You should tell her later on." 

Celaena gave me a hug and climbed out of the SUV, I started the engine and drove away on the way home I decided to surprise Luna with breakfast and coffee from Starbucks she loves Starbucks like me when I arrived home I parked in front of the house and killed the engine. I climbed out of the SUV and grabbed the bag and coffees from Starbucks I walked up to the house I opened the storm door and unlocked the inside door and walked inside the house I closed the door behind me and locked it. I heard my stereo on upstairs I walked into the kitchen and sat the bag and coffees on the table I left the kitchen I took off my leather jacket and hung it up I walked upstairs to mine and Luna's room. 

"Hi beautiful." I said. 

"Hi handsome." Luna replied. 

"I have a surprise for you downstairs in the kitchen." 

I walked back downstairs and walked into the kitchen I sat down at the table Luna came into the kitchen and joined me at the table she leaned over and kissed me I passed Luna her breakfast and coffee. After breakfast Luna and I took Jack out for a walk we walked down the street holding hands I interlaced our fingers and kissed the back of her hand Luna looked at me and smiled. 

"Thank you for breakfast my love." Luna said.

"You're more than welcome." I replied. 

"What would you like to do today?" 

"I would like to spend the day with you." 

Luna and I walked back home we walked up to the house I opened the storm door and unlocked the inside I walked inside the house with Luna and Jack I took off his leash and took off my leather jacket and hung it up I sat Jack's leash on the hallway table. Luna and I walked into the living room we sat down on the couch I grabbed the remote off the coffee table and turned on the TV, Luna and I were watching South Park. 

"Babe would you like to carve pumpkins later on?" She asked. 

"Carving pumpkins later sounds like fun we go pick out pumpkins after we get Celaena from school." I said. 

"I think Celaena will enjoy it as well." 

When it was time to go get Celaena from school Luna and I put on our leather jackets and left the house we walked down to my SUV and climbed into the front seat I put the key in the ignition and started the engine and drove away. When we arrived at the school, I parked in front of the school I seen Celaena walk towards the SUV she climbed into the SUV, I drove away. 

"How was school sweetie?" I asked. 

"It was okay I made a new friend at school today her name is Mandy she just moved to town a few days ago with her father because her parents got divorced and some kids at school were picking on Mandy because she's goth like me." Celaena explained. 

"I'm glad you made a new friend and if you want you can invite Mandy over as long as her father is okay with it." 

"Mandy doesn't see her father he's too busy working in the church he acts like Mandy is invisible." 

"Celaena, would you like to carve a pumpkin?" I asked. 

"Sounds like a lot of fun." Celaena said. 

When we arrived at the pumpkin patch, I parked the SUV and killed the engine Celaena, Luna, and I climbed out of the SUV and walked through the pumpkin patch Luna and I picked out our pumpkins Celaena picked out her pumpkin I paid for mine, Luna and Celaena's pumpkins we climbed back into the SUV. When we arrived home, I parked in front of the house and killed the engine Luna, Celaena, and I climbed out of the SUV and grabbed our pumpkins I walked up to the house and grabbed the mail out of the mail box I followed Luna and Celaena inside the house. I walked into the kitchen and sat my pumpkin on the counter I took off my jacket and left the kitchen I hung up my jacket and walked back into the kitchen Luna came into the kitchen and started cooking dinner I sat down at the table and played on my phone. 

"Babe what would you like to do tonight?" 

"I have no idea what I want to do besides snuggle in bed with my beautiful wife." 

"Babe do you know how to carve your bands name into a pumpkin?" Luna asked. 

"Do you want the words Motionless In White or MIW carved into the pumpkin?" I said. 

"Just the words MIW." 

"I can carve MIW on your pumpkin for you I'm thinking about carving The Nightmare Before Christmas on my pumpkin." 

After dinner Celaena, Luna, and I sat down at the kitchen table and craved our pumpkins I helped Luna carve my bands name on her pumpkin when we were finished carving our pumpkins, we placed a tea candle into the pumpkins and placed them out on the front porch. I walked upstairs to mine and Luna's room and walked into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom I walked downstairs and walked into the living room I sat down on the couch and watched TV. Celaena came into the living room and joined me on the couch I noticed she had her favorite childhood book in her hand I looked at her and smiled. 

"Dad can you read please read to me?" Celaena asked. 

"Sure, sweetie I'll read you The Nightmare Before Christmas." I said. 

Celaena handed me the book I read The Nightmare Before Christmas to her when I was finished reading the book, I closed the book and handed it back to Celaena she gave me a hug I hugged her back. 

"I love you dad." 

"I love you too, Celaena." 

Celaena left the living room Luna came into the living room she called over to me and kissed me I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her onto my lap Luna laid her head on my chest I kissed her forehead. 

"Somebody's getting sleepy." I said. 

"I'm not tired." Luna said tiredly. 

"Honey, you can barely keep your eyes open you look like you could fall asleep any minute." 

Luna and I were watching her favorite cartoon We Bare Bears on Cartoon Network I checked on Luna and she was sound asleep I turned off the TV and lamp I scooped her up in my arms and carried her upstairs to bed. 

{A/N: In the next chapter it's Chris and Celaena's birthday and Luna wants to throw them both a surprise party without them knowing. Don't forget to vote and comment}
