Chapter 55

{Luna's POV, Christmas} 

When I woke up, I was snuggled up beside Chris he was starting to stir I gently rolled back over and pretended to be asleep I felt Chris drape his arm across me and gently pulled me towards him I rolled over and faced him. 

"Morning handsome." 

"Morning my graveyard baby." 

Chris kissed me and brushed the back of his finger against my cheek we gazed into each other's eyes I kissed his cheek and draped my leg over him he looked at me with a smirk on his face. 

"Babe remember when we slept together for the first time that night you came over to your mom's house and found me in your room?" I asked.

"Of course, how could I ever forget that." Chris replied with a smile. 

"I actually slept soundly that night because I knew I was safe and sound with you." 

"I would always protect you when we were kids and I still do today." 

I just laid there smiling contently in Chris's arms he kissed my forehead and stroked my arm I heard Chris's stereo turn on we were lying in bed listening to Korn, I didn't feel like getting up out of bed anytime soon I wanted to enjoy snuggling in bed with Chris we never just lay in bed and snuggle. 

"I love you, Chris." I replied. 

"I love you too, Luna. Do you want to go downstairs and open our presents?" He asked. 

"Not really I'm enjoying snuggling with you." 

"I'm enjoying snuggling with you too we rarely just lay in bed and snuggle with each other." 

"Can we stay in bed all day?" I asked with a giggle. 

"I wish we could beautiful but I promised my mom that we would be over for dinner." Chris replied. 

"Is your dad coming?" 

"I don't see why not he usually does any other time during the holidays." 

I kissed Chris and climbed out of bed I walked downstairs I walked into the living room and sat down in front of the tree Chris came into the living room and joined me on floor we heard Celaena come into the house. 

"Mom, dad I'm home." Celaena called.

"We're in the living room." I said. 

Celaena came into the living room and joined me and Chris on the floor we passed out the gifts Chris, Celaena, and I opened our gifts when we were finished opening our gifts I got up off the floor and left the living room I walked into the kitchen and started cooking breakfast I heard Celaena come into the kitchen. 

"Mom can I ask you something." 

"Of course, sweetie." 

"Does dad flirt with you?" Celaena asked. 

"Yes, your father flirted with me when we were going together and he never stopped flirting with me once we got married your father flirts with me every chance he gets. Why?" I said. 

"Kevin took me out to dinner and he was flirting with me it kind of surprised me because when I was with Jason, he never did any of the things that Kevin does." 

"Do you think Kevin could be the one?" 

"I believe he is I never felt this happy when I was seeing Jason, I feel really happy with Kevin." 

After breakfast I was upstairs getting dressed, I put on one of the Motionless In White t-shirts that Chris gave me I put on black jeans and The Nightmare Before Christmas combat boots I walked into the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, I made the bed Chris came into the room and got dressed I snuck up behind him and playfully smacked his ass Chris scooped me up in his arms and kissed me.
