Your POV

This is so frustrating! We've been on this boat for two days! And we've gotten no where! We've literally been going in circles!

"You okay?" Laurence asked, bringing me out of my rage.

"Fine, I guess." I mumbled.

"I know you're not." Laurence pointed out. "Going in circles for two days straight is aggravating. Everyone is a bit irritable."

"A bit irritable! I am so-"

"I knew you weren't fine." Laurence teased.

"Tch, leave me alone." I muttered.

"Fine then." He shrugged. "I'm going to go and take a nap. You should take one too."

"Sorry." I apologized.

"I know." Laurence smirked. "But you really should get some rest."

"Thank you, Laurence." I smiled. "I will. But you go get your nap now."

He smiled and went below deck.

I then heard the most beautiful song.

Mom, she used to play me that song when I was little.

I walked toward the wheel and, of course, it was Vlyad playing.

He's playing the song on a shell so, I walked below deck and grabbed the guitar I found a few days ago.

I walked back to where Vlyad was and I started playing it on guitar. Vlyad noticed the song and immediately started to sing along.

I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby even when the musics gone, gone

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound

Just close your eyes, you'll be alright
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound

As soon as Vlyad and I finished singing, I heard clapping. I turned around and saw that everyone was listening to us.

"Sorry." I apologized.

"You guys sing well together." Aphmau complimented.

"Yeah, your voices compliment each other." Travis added.

"One of the most beautiful lullabies I've heard." Katelyn agreed.

"I didn't know you could sing." Laurence commented to me. "Your voice if very beautiful."

"Thank you." I smiled.

"Where did you hear that song?" Vlyad asked. "My mother used to sing that lullaby to me."

"My mother sang it to me every night before bed." I looked Vlyad straight in the eyes. "Just like you."
