I smile as I quickly run into the store and walk towards the milk section I grab a carton and prepare to leave when I hear faint baby cries and a mothers soothing voice.
"Shhh my little prince mami is nearly finished" she soothed to the newborn baby in her front pouch whilst a toddler sat contently in the seat of the cart and a teenager walking closely behind.
"Camz?" I said shocked as she jumped and nearly dropped the eggs.
"Lauren? Is that really you!" She asked referring to my short hair and work attire which was a skirt and blazer with a blouse.
"Yeah ...... who do we have here?" I ask as I walk over to the cart.
"This is Aubree Skye and this little one here is Devon and of course you remember Mya" she said pointing to each of her little ones.
"Monkey is that really you?" I say looking at a much older and gorgeous version of the little girl I last saw in Hawaii.
"Hi auntie loo loo ..... I've missed you" she said as she ran into me hugging me close.
"I've missed you too nugget .... I've missed you too".
I know these will all be stories some day, and our pictures will become old photographs. We all become somebody's mom or dad. But right now, these moments are not stories. This is happening. I am here. And in this moment, I swear, are infinite.
