Problacks that call for togetherness.

That say we need to stop fighting each other and start working together.

Yet are the ones being the most misogynistic, the most homophobic, the most transphobic.

Yet are the ones telling women to get over colorism, telling gays and trans people that they're invalid in the black community, telling black men that being gay or bi is the worst thing you can ever do in a black household, and telling black women that they should hold down black men regardless of the tramautic experiences and abuse caused by those same black men.

Because we must stick together.

Because the revolution itself is much more important than what is happening inside our black community. Much more important than the flaws we have in our community and that we should fix in order to prosper TOGETHER.

But of course that is never going to happen.

Because these problacks deny all flaws in the black community, deny anything negative in our community that requires us to work together and get this revolution going.

You can't tell me you want the black community to be together when black women feel as if black men are putting them down and making them feel like nothing.

You can't tell me you want the black community to be together when there are black men who feel threatened by their own people because of their sexuality.

You can't tell me you want the black community to be together when colorism is still being denied by many but being perpetuated by, once again, many.

You can't tell me you want the black community WHEN YOU ARE THE ONE NOT ALLOWING IT TO BE.

Let lgbt+ black people exist in peace. Let black women exist in peace. Let black people as a whole exist in peace and maybe JUST FREAKING MAYBE this revolution you speak of can actually work.

But until then?

Hush about this revolution thing until you can actually do what you need to do to do it. Got it?
