An Update On Things

So I haven't been on this for quite awhile. I've been ranting more on my Pro-Black page than here in my rant book. ( ig: filledwithmelanin )

Here's everything that happened since I last updated:

- #CharlesKinsley : Black man who was trying to get his autistic patient back to the care home ; Shot while on the ground with his hands up, screaming "DON'T SHOOT!" ; Survived.

- #StyleChallenge : Many black artists came together and did a style challenge ; Features artists drawing in different cartoon styles 

- #EmmettTill : His birthday was on July 25th 

- #PrayForSyria : U.S dropped missiles on a refugee camp with 30+ children and women without any knowledge of who was in the camp nor if any jihadists were in the camp ; 73 dead

- #SaveMarinaJoyce - A famous UK YouTuber who many people thought she was kidnapped and/or in trouble due to many strange looking videos and clear instances of asking for help ; Was all a stunt (posted a picture on HER OWN instagram with the tag #savemarinajoyce) ; Said she was thankful for the followers dismissing the whole incident and blaming her fans for being loyal and worked up

- #NoJustice - Black girl who accused three white boys of giving her rope burns gets no justice ; No criminal charges in the case ; Sheriff believed she was stretching the truth 

- #BarringtonWilliams - Black man who suffered an asthma attack while being arrested ; Death similar to that of Eric Garner, who died in a chokehold ; Wasn't given CPR nor his asthma pump (which was kicked to the side) and left to die 

- #WhitePrivilege - Neo Nazi allowed to cover up his tattoos that showed his pride for Nazism so the jury isn't aware he is ; White privilege at its finest

- #MinorityMentalHealthMonth - Show that minorities can also develop mental health diorders

- #MissTeenRacist - Miss Teen USA makes an apology regarding the discovery of tweets that show Miss Teen USA calling people niggers ; Crown isn't revoked yet Miss Florida might get her's revoked because "she didn't do her own makeup"

- #HowToughAmIBlackEdition - Black twitter at it again with the memes ; Check that tag out

- #KorrynGaines - Black women who Baltimore police shot and killed due to traffic violations in her own home ; Also shot her five year old son but he is expected to survive ; Videos of Gaines saying the police were going to kill her were deleted from her Facebook soon after her death went viral ;  Was known for reporting police violations, especially dealing with discrimination, and had a case against the police department ; Black men on twitter say she deserved it, calling her a bad mother, assumed she used her son as a shield 

This was all in July and beginning of August. Just. Wow.
