why the Women's March is bs to me

The Women's March leaders are only white women.

That's already a problem to me.

Movements being led by white women in the past that are about fighting for equal rights for women are only beneficial for white women. Look at the Suffrage Movement for example. The leaders, Anthony and Stanton, were against gaining voter rights for Black women and all women that weren't white. Not to my surprise, but shit still ain't change.

Black women who attended the march and had signs that called out white women for the bullshit they have spewed, ya know like 57% of them voting for Trump and the other 43% just ignoring it like it never happened, were cursed at, told they were the ones keeping women from unifying, and that's the reason why we can't move forward.

Right ... because ignoring something ... even though it is the elephant in the room ... and it will follow you cause it's written in stats and history and whatever ... means it goes away ...

That's the same logic people use for slavery. "Maybe if we tell them to get over it, and act like it never happened, it never happened!" No. No no. No.

But back to the fact of the manner.

I don't f**k with the Women's March.

First off, they only focus on the same two topics over and over again, mind you that pertain to ALL women, yet refuse to speak on how these issues affect specific minority groups. If you speak on the sexualization of women and sexual assault, speak on how Native American women have the highest percentage of being sexual assaulted and how Black women are sexualized before they're even a teenager.  They speak on how women are dying at the hands of men only because of saying no, yet refuse to speak on women who are also dying at the hands of men for being trans.

Like you can't say you represent ALL women when you are blatantly ignoring what WOC have to endure their whole lives.

Allow me to say this. The face of feminism is whitewashed asf .

Nah nah. That's too light.

The concept of feminism IS WHITE. Feminism was started by white women and continues to benefit white women. Which is why I refer to myself as a womanist and not a feminist.

Womanism was made for Black people and POC specifically. It should be more known and be the wave.

But yes let's continue not acknowledging non-white women and keep talking about how we must free-bleed in order to show men that our vaginas are powerful. Sarcasm by the way. 🙄
