CAUSE I DID!! AND I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL!
*except the fact that I was like 10 minutes late because I was at my cousin's baby shower and I missed Serena Williams twerking like ugh*
BUT OTHER THAN THAT I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!
I was loving the empowerment of not only black people but black women, black young women, and black girls. Different black females who have had an impact in their own industries (i.e: Serena Williams, Amandla Stenburg, Zendaya) appeared in it and I was hype asf seeing them.
Of course many are talking about what Beyoncé said about Jay Z and "Becky with the good hair" but if you're focusing on that then you didn't get the point of Lemonade.
The point of Lemonade was for our black females to stand up, feel beautiful, feel wonderful, feel BLACK and embrace BLACK no matter who tells us. May it be white people or even our own race, especially black men, WE ARE GOING TO EMBRACE IT.
And that is why Lemonade is a beautiful thing.
*btw I'm not even apart of the beyhive but I do have my share of songs that I do love from the Queen 🐝*
