So recently on my Instagram I posted that I agree with the statement that some black men date outside their race because of the fact that there is self-hate within themselves, their need to be treated as a king, which in their minds means they must be submitted to, and also because they "can't handle a black woman", which means they can't handle the fact that black women have standards, have ideas and perspectives that deserve to be respected, and that as black women we should be their equal not their lesser.
I was called toxic for thinking this way.
I actually wasn't called toxic until someone asked me if the same goes for black women.
I said for some black women yes. Their is some form of self-hate and feel that they're treated lesser than black men so they date outside their race.
Tbh I don't think I'm toxic. I'm literally saying what I've been told by black men and women who date outside their race. The reason they date white women/men is because they want lighter children, don't want their children to come out with their hair, and can't handle black women (this reason for men). That's literally what I've been told.
Some took it as me saying white women are weak. I never said that. I felt like they were coming at me things that were said by their black spouses not me. Black men think they will have more power dating a white woman than a black woman.
Some black girls took offense because they themselves date white men. But remember I said some black women, not all. If the shoe doesn't fit, don't wear it.
I just feel that we shouldn't deny these reasons out here for black people dating outside their race.
If it's completely out of love go for it. I wouldn't do it not because I hate white people, although I dislike many but because I can't relate to a white person culturally, a white person can't understand my struggles and what I go through as a black person. And although they may try, they will never understand. And that's why I can't date a white person. But if you feel as if they do understand you, I can't do anything about that. Am I wrong for thinking that? Am I toxic?
I just think people took more offense than to try to understand where I was coming from. So yeah just comment.
