Mike’s POV

After naming ihatid si Maxine sa bahay nila its me and Loaraine were left here, I felt a little awkward when I’m with her yun ay dahil hindi naman talaga kasi kami nag-uusap kapag kasama ko ang mga kaibigan niya and I know I can’t talk to her the way I talk to Maxine because I heard that she is in pain right now.

“I’m heading to the hospital”

Huh? I thought na sa bahay ko siya ihahatid.

“Bakit sa hospital?” I don’t want to be chismoso yun nga lang curius lang ako kahit medyo alam ko na ang dahilan.

She take a deep breath and I noticed her fist forming like she wants to punch someone, I feel a lot of pain while she was squezzing holding her cellphone in the other hand. Siguro may nangyaring hindi maganda kaya pala medyo natahimik siya kanina after niyang basahin yung text message.

“Emergency, please head me to the hospital” she’s like begging for me so I give what she want inspite she was already my friend since we’ve been together in the same circle.

As we arrived in the hospital without a single thought she ran towards the hospital without looking at me, hinayaan ko na lang siya hindi naman kasi ako ganun kachismoso para pasukin pa ang private life niya yun ay ang family.

Papaandarin na sana ni manong yung kotse when I saw a bag in my side. Naiwan niya yung bag niya so I decided to follow her inside may assignment pa man din kami.

Hindi ko alam kung saan siya hahagilapin sa ospital hindi naman kasi kami ganun ka-close until I heard something from the doctor.

“Mrs. Dizon is in a very crucial stage right now, especially her daughter Loraine she’s in pain also, I hate the way I saw her always crying silently”

After kong marinig yun ay agad kong nilapitan yung doctor then I asked him where is Loraine.

“Excuse me sir, but where is Loraine? I’m his friend Michael” I asked and introduce corporately myself.

“She’s in her mom side right now hijo,room 202”

Tumango na lang ako and I thanked him. I walked up the stairs until I reach the room 202. I’m about to open the door when I heard someone speaking. Hindi ako nagkakamali its Loraine.

“Mom, iniwan na tayo ni dad sumama na siya sa iba, pati ba naman ikaw? Iiwan mo rin ba ako? *sighed* I promise myself nung time na iniwan tayo ni dad na hinding hindi kita iiwan dahil I witness everything….  your hardships, your sacrifices and even your pain because I feel that pain too” hindi ko alam kung ano ang gagawin ko still I decided not disturbing her pero siguro sa kalagayan niya ngayon she really need someone to comfort her. Because I already experience the same way when my real mom died yes REAL dahil nag-asawa ulit si dad hindi ko lang sinabi kay Maxine nung nagtanong siya dati, then she continue speaking while crying.

“I even cursed all Gods but it’s useless” then I heard her laugh a little. “Funny huh? Because every single day of my life I always pray that someday miracle will happen and I will be the one who will witness that f*cking miracle that would happen! But now see, no miracles came to help me escape from this damn darkness of mine! I really hate my life! I hate myself of seeing you panthing for every pain you feel and me? I can’t do nothing just to watch you in pain, and it really hurts, alam mo ba yun? Ang tanga-tanga mo rin kasi nagpakatanga ka sa ama kong hudas! God!”

Then after that theres a silence all I heard was a woman crying and I know that its Loraine.

“Hindi ko alam bakit ko pa sinasabi sa’yo to dahil hindi mo rin naman ako naririnig and you won’t even listen to me that’s why I hate you dahil nagpaka-martyr ka. I’m saying this because I’ve been so silent after all these years and I want you to know what I feel because I really love you, ikaw na lang…. at ako”
