Chapter 8 ♦️ Rumble

Chase's POV

I tilted my head as a thought gushed on my mind. I was looking with the new comer. The girl named Kate or Katie. I was not sure but it sounds the same. I was eyeing her and I have this gnawing feeling about the two. She said she is Max's girlfriend, but they are not look like that at all. And I don't know, somewhere in my mind is saying that Max is a straight laced girl.

Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa bumalik si Max na sabing magccr lang. Baka naman naflush na yun dahil sa kaliitian. Hindi ko na pinansin yung girlfriend ni Max kahit panay ang tingin niya sa akin. She is very beautiful and hot but I am not attracted to her at all o baka naman hindi lang umaandar ang pagiging malandi ko ngayon.

Bigla naman nagvibrate ang cellphone ko sa aking bulsa kaya naman napahinto ako sa mabining pagsayaw at kinuha ang cellphone ko at nakita ko doon na si Papa ang tumatawag. Napatiim bagang naman ako.

"Excuse me." Saad ko sa mga kasama ko at nagsimula na akong maglakad papalayo sa mga nagsasayaw.

I can feel hands touching my body pero hindi ko na yun pinansin pa dahil sanay na ako. I reached the entrance at staka lumabas na ako para sagutin ang tawag. It is my father after all at patay ako rito pag nalaman nito na nagcluclubbing ako.

"Hello dad." Bungad ko rito.

"Hey son, how's Philippines?" Tanong nito sa akin.

My father loves this country dahil colonized ito ng spaniards so the food is Spanish like and hospitality as well is top notch.

"It's nice dad. It has scorching hot summer and making me want to spend my time somewhere cool like Palawan." Saad ko naman rito.

Palawan is famous all over the world because of the private resorts. It was like a mini Maldives or french Polynesia touch. I never went to Palawan but I am planning to. I already bought an Island there and it has a large mansion nearby the white sand beach but I was not able to go there yet because of the business.

"Palawan is great son. Especially the Cauayan Island Resort. A very private resort and has beach houses that was built over the water. No wifi and no phone signal, it's a perfect getaway for total relaxation." Mahabang saad nito sa akin.

No wifi and phone signal? What kind of resort is that? For a business man like me, wifi and cellular signal is life.

"Sounds too tempting." Simpleng saad ko na lang. But dad is right. If you wanted to escape from everything, that resort is perfect.

"So how's the company going?" Tanong nito sa akin. Alam ko na may alam na ito but still he wanted to ask me personally.

"Operations already started. There will be a launching of the new model that will be release in the market soon." Sagot ko naman rito at napangiti.

"That's great to hear. Keep it up son, and make the company bigger." Saad nito at ibinaba na nito ang tawag.

Ibinalik ko naman ang cellphone ko sa aking bulsa at akmang babalik na sa loob ng may narinig na lang akong kalampag. Napalingon ako sa pinanggalingan ng tunog.

"Ugh!" It was a man's voice na tila nasasaktan ito.

"Stop.... Please, tama na..." I heard it in a pleading voice.

Napakunot naman ang aking noo. Something is not right kaya dahan dahan akong naglakad papunta sa direksyon kung saan yung nagmamakaawang boses. It is in the parking lot and when I took a peak, nanlaki na lang ang aking mga mata when I saw the familiar small built na nakatayo and there are three men who is kneeling down.
