Chapter 45 ♦️ Forever

Chase's POV

"Babe, I need to go somewhere. I need to finish something. I'll be coming back late." I informed her after the fair was wrapped up. I need to move now while she's still not suspecting anything.

She nodded. "Okay, I'll not wait for you. I'll sleep, just wake me up when you return." She answered while fixing her hair because of the strong wind.

I smiled at her. She has this behavior that doesn't ask questions. Unlike with typical girlfriends, you will be bombarded with questions if you need to go somewhere. I am really a lucky one to find someone like her, in this world with 7 billion people.

"Alright, I have to go ahead now babe. Love you and dream of me." And I kissed her. Thinking about not seeing her for hours, I am already missing her.

"Okay, ingat ka." She responded and sent her to the elevator.

After I lost her from my sight I immediately called Adam.

"Did you already taken care of it?" I ask him with authority.

"Yes sir. The news already exploded but your identity was not disclosed. As your instruction, only the identity of Miss Lopez has been disclosed." Adam answered from the other line. I instructed him to release the news about Max to give a hint with her parents.

"Good. Prepare the jet, we'll be flying now back to Manila. My father and uncles are on their way to the jet." Letting him know about the arrival of my father.

The initial plan was just me, but my father and uncles are insisting on going with me so they can back me up.

I initially planned to meet Max's family tonight to ask her hand in marriage. When my father knew my plan, he insisted on going too.

"Okay sir, I'll be waiting for them here at the airport." Adam responded.

I ended the call and rode the car. I don't know if I will be able to get a sleep tonight, but at least tomorrow will be the start of our forever.

There is no longer any traffic in the highway. We look like we own the road and immediately reached the airport in no time.

I was walking on the runway when I saw a familiar figure standing and eating a junk food.

"Hey, brat. What are you doing here?" My brows are knitted because I don't know what is she doing here.

"Duh, dad told me that you'll be traveling back to Manila to meet your girlfriend's relatives. I can't help but to tag along." She answered while munching the chips.

I rolled my eyes. "Isabella, this is not a child's play. Go back to your hotel and sleep." I pushed her away. I don't need another addition to the gang. It's already a mess that my father and my uncles are tagging along.

"Chase, I am your freaking cousin. This is an important event of your life! You don't want me to witness how you ask her hand in marriage? And why is she not even here?" This little brat cousin of mine is really getting her way in to get what she wants.

"I don't want her to get tired. And this is a surprise proposal to her, she has no idea that I am proposing tomorrow. Go back now—"

"Nope, I am coming with you or else I'll go to your hotel and tell your girlfriend about your surprise." And this little devil threatened me on spilling the beans to Max.

I sighed in defeat. "Fine. Just don't be a brat when we arrive there."

She smiled triumphantly. "Okay. Okay! I'll be good since she will be my soon cousin in law. And I saw her anyway, she's really pretty for a filipina."
