(Cause it's Christmas here's an extended Christmasy chapter😘)

Kara

I wonder if he knows it's Christmas Eve. I can't bare the thought of spending a Christmas without him. Alex managed to persuade Hank to put up one small Christmas tree up in the main control centre but of coarse Winn had already beaten them to it and gone full on 'dec the halls' with his desk.

Everything is Star Wars themed. From his tinsel to borballs, with characters faces on, from Kylo Ren to Rey to The great Carrie Fisher as Princess Liea, Han Solo and Luke to Darth Vader. You name it he has it. Even a Star Wars Santa hat. I let out a small laugh at his geekiness. To be honest who doesn't like Star Wars? Mon-El loves it.

It's the first time I've laughed since Mon-El was taken. It feels good but not right. Like I shouldn't be happy. The only thing I want for Christmas is Mon-El. For him to be back. Arden nods at me from across the room and I walk over to her and get ready.

Mon-El

I loose track of how long James is with me, opening old wounds. I've lost track of how long I've been here.

"I hope your friend has knocked some sense into you my son."

"Just leave me Mother." I breathe as she enters.

"Now now Mon-El is that any way to treat your mother?" She says in an undermining tone.

"I don't care." I say weakly.

"We leave tonight." She informs me abruptly.

"No."

"Yes Mon-El. I do not care if this Kryptonian comes for you or not. Lillian has wasted enough of my time." She begins to walk around me.

"Do you not care about what they have done to me?" I ask sarcastically.

"It does not matter. This is clearly this planets way of discipline. That is something thought highly on Daxam. You of all people should know that." My childhood memories come flashing back and I remember things I buried so deep down, I had created a mental block against them.

I want to speak but a load noice coming from some speakers interrupt me.

"Queen Rhea, please report back to my office. I would like to deliver Mon-El a special Christmas present." Lillian's retched voice fills every room. My mother leaves, not even glancing back at me.

Lillian rounds the corner of my door and enters proudly. Behind her two guards drag a figure behind them. My eyes can't focus on it properly until they too enter the room. They're dragging an unconscious person loosely by their arms. I blink and the image in front of me becomes clearer still. The person has dirty blonde hair and a small but muscly physique. I don't need my vision to be any clearer to know who it is. My heart sinks in realisation. No matter what I said she came anyway.

I stay silent in surprise as they throw Kara onto the floor in front of me. I think I scream. Her eyes open slightly and I just stare into them, my lips parting slightly. I look down at her apologetically with a small ounce of anger rising behind my eyes.

"Kara why." I breathe. She looks up at me, mirroring my apologetic look. She lays her head back onto the floor as they bend down to drag her away again.

"Kara!" No one listens.

"KARA! WHERE ARE YOU TAKING HER?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! SOMEONE ANSWER ME!!" It's the most clear I've said... shouted something in what feels like forever. My voice didn't falter once.

"KARA." I stare out into the corridor as I watch her being taken, right until I can just see her feet skidding alone the floor behind her. I watch as the last of her red boots disappear.
