Liam's P.O.V

Getting Y/N's number from her while I was at the radio station was the best decision ever. As I packed the sandwiches in a basket, I smiled remembering her as we drove away. "Picnics are still cool, right?" I called over my shoulder. Andy and Maz were sitting on my couch watching a football game. "Yeah sure man" Andy called, and I shook my head. "You're Liam Payne from One Direction. You could take her on a hunting date and she'd love it" Maz said, and I rolled my eyes. I didn't want this girl to like me for being Liam Payne, One Direction member. I wanted her to like me for being Liam Payne, guy I met at a radio station. Though, I suppose that was kind of already impossible. "Look, just make sure you turn everything off when you leave. And lock the door. Maz, you keep the key" I said, taking the basket. "Good luck" Andy shouted after me as I shut the door. I went down to my car, and took out my GPS. I put in the address she had texted me, and tried to keep calm as I went there. When I showed up, I smiled. She was out front of the tall building, face buried in her phone. I pulled up and rolled my window down. "Hey cutie, heading somewhere important?" I called, and she looked up and smiled. "Hi Liam" she said through the window as she opened the door and hopped in. She looked so cute, I had to smile. "How are you love?" I asked, and she flipped her hand. "If I'm honest, nervous" she said, and I smirked. "Me too" I said, and she nodded, and smiled. I started driving and she looked in the backseat. "Picnic?" she asked, and I nodded. She didn't know where we were going, and she seemed happy with the surprise. I pulled up to a red light and she grabbed my hand. I turned to her smiling at me, her beautiful eyes staring deeply into me. "I haven't been on a picnic in forever" she said excitedly, and I blushed. The light changed, and she went to let go of my hand but I gripped it tighter. She blushed, and rested our hands on her leg. I rubbed my thumb against the back of her hand, and she looked out the window. It felt oddly natural, like we had been doing it for years. As I pulled up to the park, she hesitated before letting go of my hand. "I want that back" she whispered, and I smiled. I grabbed the basket and she grabbed my hand as we went to a picnic bench near a garden. "I brought ham and cheese" I said, and she gave me a thumbs up. We both ate, and she kept nodding as if to tell me it was delicious. It was a simple sandwich, but it made me so happy to see her happy. As we finished eating, we walked through the garden. "I am having a lot of fun" she whispered, taking my hand again. "Me too, I am glad we're together. Is it weird that I missed you after the radio station thing?" I said, and she shook her head. "Me too! Even though we texted, like, all day everyday" she laughed, and I sighed. "Yeah, Paul got annoyed with me because I wasn't paying attention texting you" I confessed, and she smiled. "Paul Higgins? The Paul Higgins?" she asked, and I tried to hide my frown. I didn't like One Direction talk on dates. "Oh em gee, I love him" she said, and I smirked. She was poking fun. "Could you get me his autograph? A lock of his hair? A piece of his half eaten food?" she laughed, and I shook my head smiling. "I could get you his underwear" I laughed, and she pretended to faint. I held her close and hugged her. "Do you still have to go to the studio at six?" she asked, he head against my chest. "Unfortunately" I said, looking at my watch. It was 5:30, and it was going to take me twenty minutes to get there. "We should go" she whispered, and I nodded. We walked hand in hand back to the car. She got in, and I sat behind the wheel. I took her hand this time, resting it on my leg as I drove to her building. When I pulled up, she smiled a forced smiled. "This was fun" she said, and I nodded. "We will plan something when you're free next?" I offered, and she nodded. "Not tomorrow but the next day" she said, and I nodded. "Until then," I said, kissing her hand. "Bye Li" she said sweetly, waving to me as she went in her building. "Li... Li...Li" I whispered, smiling, as I drove away.
