Aquelia's strange bright green eyes stared at her as Daisy tried to comprehend what the girl said. Suddenly, Daisy shrieked and dodged as the small girl suddenly threw a dagger made of pearl at her.

"What the-!?"

The dagger stuck in the wall behind her, and Daisy gasped, thankful she moved. She took a step back, preparing to flee, when two voices chimed out behind her.

"Must eliminate."

She was trapped. Ryan and Akane were behind her while Aquelia was in the front. Daisy's hand went immediately to her rapier, preparing to fight. Akane threw Aquelia's dagger to her.

"What are you guys talking about!?" Daisy questioned. She suddenly noticed that both Ryan and Akane also had the same bright green eyes...

"Eliminate all who stand in our way," Ryan spoke, his eyes blank. "They must all be eliminated. Every single one."

Daisy knew that she couldn't possibly win against three people. That was just an unfair battle. So far, Daisy seemed screwed.

She had two options right now- go through Aquelia, or go through Ryan and Akane. Considering Aquelia was younger and only one body compared to two, the choice was obvious.

Daisy lunged towards the smaller girl, but was quickly surprised as Aquelia blocked her path, pushing Daisy to the ground with surprising speed. Daisy rolled over quickly, dodging the dagger once again. She immediately stood up, her mind whirling as she tried to think about what to do.

"Aquelia, Ryan, Akane, snap out of it!" Daisy panted. The only response she got was a growl from Ryan as he shifted, black ears forming on top of his head.

"Must... Eliminate..."

Daisy shook her head as she dodged yet another incoming attack. Frantically, she looked around, hoping someone was coming to her aid.

"Where are they when you actually need them?" Daisy panicked as Akane's sword sliced through the air. "Oh no.."

Daisy rolled to the ground as Ryan shot an arrow at her as he pulled his bow out. Akane's sword was extremely close to hitting her. Daisy sucked in a breath, hoping that aid would come soon.

There were so many people at this facility, where were they?

She was filled with fear at the thought that everyone had been possessed or brainwashed except for her. So far, it seemed that way...

"Akane! Ryan! Aquelia! What the hell do you think you're doing?" A demanding voice scowled, and Daisy was extremely grateful at that moment that she'd forgiven them.

She didn't want to think about what would happen if she didn't.

The three ignored the furious woman and continued their assault on Daisy.

"Must eliminate."

Akane raised her sword, and Daisy braced herself for the impact. But before she could feel the slice of pain, all she heard was a loud clanging noise. Daisy looked up from her crouched position to see Kaira in front of her, her katana behind her body blocking the hit. Kaira's eyes narrowed as she quickly swung around, her katana flying and easily disarming Akane. It didn't stop Ryan and Aquelia from attacking her, as Ryan threw his weapon down with a snarl and launched himself at them. Kaira smirked slightly before her blade struck him. He fell to the ground, howling in pain as Kaira's blade danced. Akane now followed Kaira, but Kaira easily wounded the girl, sending her falling to the ground.

"Wait, Kaira, don't kill her!" Daisy panicked as Kaira neared Aquelia.

"You don't want me to kill her?"

"No!"

Kaira hesitated, and then slammed her blade down on Aquelia's head. The girl crumpled to the ground and Daisy gasped.

"I didn't kill her," Kaira replied indifferently. "She's just knocked out."

"...thank you, Kaira..." Daisy shuddered. "Why did they... Why did they try to hurt me?"

"Put the puzzle pieces together, it's not that hard," Kaira responded. "Think about it."

"Brainwashed?" Daisy guessed as Akane rolled over, attempting to stand up.

"Close. More like programmed."

"Programmed...?" Daisy questioned, not completely understanding.

"Yes... These," Kaira held up her wrist, exposing the metal bracelet. Akane weakly attempted to stand, falling to the ground. "It's likely that they're controlling them with use of these."

"But... How?"

"I don't know, some sort of advanced technology," Kaira shrugged. "I can't tell you the specifics. For now, let's restrain these three so they won't be able to do any harm."

"Are you sure?" Daisy asked. "What if they wake up, and they're totally fine?"

"Then they wake up, and they're totally fine," Kaira looked away. "It's better to be safe than sorry."

"Yeah... I suppose that's true," Daisy agreed. "...I'm not exactly in the mood to die.."

"I don't really think anyone is."

"Ugh, of course she jumped in," Pauline sighed as she watched the security cameras. "At least I know I have a trustworthy warden."

"Don't concern yourself too much over it," Mario advised her. "I'll make sure she leaves. And then we can watch."

"I'm surprised Daisy managed to stop her from killing everyone," Pauline commented. "That's.. Shocking."

"No kidding. Something is different about her... And I plan to find out."

Hey everyone!

So Kaira's sword block is in FE awakening. If you wanna watch it, it's the cutscene titled "cataclysm" and is in I think the middle of the video.

It looks cool.

Anyway, question of the chapter- what do the leaders hope to achieve?

And, of course, thanks for reading!
