"How... How..." Daisy just stared in shock. "Your... Brother.."

"Yes," Luigi sighed. "He's... Not like how you remembered. He told us he was the boss of a huge company. We never asked for more clarification- I mean, as long as he got money, we were satisfied."

"He runs this entire place?" Daisy asked.

"Yeah."

"...how come you're just telling me now?"

"Do you want to go into the whole 'changed person' spiel again?" Luigi raised his brow.

"...yeah, alright," Daisy looked away. "So why'd he throw you in here? You guys were pretty close brothers from what I remember."

"Yeah, we were," Luigi said sadly. "It was the rest of this place."

"The rest?"

"Yeah. When Mario found out about my birthmark four years ago, he did his best to hide it from everyone," Luigi explained. "Of course, I didn't really understand what it meant back then. I only understood that no one was to ever see the birthmark ever again. Remember, fifth grade? That's when I started wearing long sleeve shirts. Everyone always asked me why I wore jackets in the summer- that's why. To hide it. Until one day..." Luigi's voice trailed off. "...I was sick of wearing them. I didn't see the problem. I didn't understand, because he'd never told us..."

"They found you?" Daisy asked softly. He nodded.

"I'd only taken my jacket off for a day. That's it. That's all they needed..."

"...I'm sorry," Daisy said awkwardly.

"Don't be," Luigi sighed. "It's not your fault. Almost immediately after they saw it, I was ushered into a car. The next day, they took me here- and I still had no idea what was going on."

"Oh my gosh..." Daisy breathed. "I still can't believe your brother did that to you."

"He tried to conceal me for the past four years," Luigi spat defensively. "He fought extremely hard for me to stay, he yelled and shouted...he begged. But even the leader of this whole place can't stop one of you guys from being taken in. It was my fault that I'm here, not his."

"I'm really sorry," Daisy said again. "...is that why they all dislike you?"

"Yes," Luigi confirmed. "I'm pretty sure they knew Mario was the leader. They knew I was his brother, so they hate me for it."

"That's so messed up!" Daisy exclaimed. "It's not like it's your fault. You can't control that."

"Apparently I can control who my family is," Luigi said bitterly. "That's obviously something in my control."

"Oh, definitely," Daisy agreed sarcastically. "Well? Why hasn't he at least treated you? Given you a nice place to stay, plenty of amenities-"

"Because no prisoner can have special treatment," Luigi looked away angrily. "It's a prison rule. The killing princess is the only exception... She's treated, well, like a princess. It doesn't surprise me- she's their special prize, after all."

"But that's so... Wrong," Daisy protested. "Why does she get to have all the privileges when all she does is kill? That's so corrupt."

"I don't know... I just don't," Luigi sighed. "I don't think I ever will."

It was silent for the two for a bit. Neither knew what to say.

"...I may have misjudged you," Luigi looked at her. "...I thought I lost you to those... People."

"They're my friends," Daisy replied softly. "If you're going to insult them, you may as well just leave..."

"No... That's not what I was going to talk about," Luigi persisted. "...Your friends have reason to not like me as well as mine. While their personalities are... Different, I suppose that's what helps them survive here."

"So what are you saying?" Daisy asked.

"...you've been one of my best friends for my whole life," Luigi sighed. "And I don't want to lose you."

"I don't want to lose you either," Daisy responded quietly.

"Good... So... New start?" Luigi suggested. "We never left each other.."

"Okay," Daisy smiled slightly. "Okay."

"Kaira, Kaira, Kaira!" Saiko sprinted over. "Check this out! Saiko has a present for Kaira!"

"A present?"

Kaira took the gift, looking at it, puzzled.

"Open it, open it, open it!" Saiko urged. "Come on, come on!"

"Okay, okay.."

Kaira carefully unwrapped the present- or at least she tried. After about five seconds, she became fed up and just ripped it off. She opened the box inside, to find a stuffed animal ginger cat inside.

"Oh, Saiko, it's.."

"Do you like?" Saiko questioned. "Saiko had to go around and ask, Saiko wanted to give Kaira a present, and-"

"I love it," Kaira replied softly. "Thank you, Saiko."

"Yes! Ahah!" Saiko grinned happily. "That makes Saiko so happy! Kaira has no idea-"

"I think I've got a pretty good idea... but thank you."

"Heheh! No problem!"

Saiko swiftly gave Kaira a kiss on the cheek before skipping away, causing the girl's cheeks to turn as red as her hair in shock. Quickly, she covered her face, refusing to let anyone see her like that.

"S-Saiko-!"

The next day, everything seemed to be going great. Luigi and Daisy had finally gotten over their differences. The only person Daisy was still having minor issues with was her roommate, so she tried to sort them out today.

Of course, Rosalina was nowhere to be found in the cell. Daisy threw her hands up in frustration.

Where is she? She's always in the cell....

Daisy looked out the door, but saw no one.
She left the cell, wandering the ward looking for her.

Instead, she ran into a blue haired girl with a purple dress and an anklet that clinked every time she walked.

"Oh! Hello, Aquelia," Daisy greeted. "Have you seen Rosalina?"

When Aquelia gave no reply, Daisy became slightly worried.

"Um..?"

Daisy looked down at the eleven year old girl and noticed something... Different about her. In fact, how had she not noticed to begin with? It was painfully obvious as Daisy stared at the girl.

Aquelia looked her dead in the eye with bright green eyes.

"Must eliminate."
