"Do you think that just because that woman likes you, you have superiority here?" Lavinia rolled her eyes. "That's painfully stupid of you-"
"I don't have power here," Kaira scowled. "And I'm well aware of that."
"Then why work for them? That's stupid. All you're doing is helping them-"
"You'd do it if they were hurting someone you love, wouldn't you?" Kaira snarled. "And besides, it's nice to see all the annoying ones die in the arena."
"I don't have anyone left to love, so that's not a problem," Lavinia frowned. "And if you're trying to imply I'll die early, think differently. Cause I'm as good as you are with that katana."
"Oh? Are you sure?" Kaira smirked. "You're positive?"
"Oh, 100 percent," Lavinia laughed. "But to be completely honest, I see no need for me to fight here."
Lavinia looked at Kaira, smirking slightly.
"After all, I'm willing to take your spot as a warden, or whatever it is. Doesn't that sound nice?"
"Oh, shut up," Kaira slapped Lavinia in the face, the girl stumbling back. "As if. And I take it back. I've got power. More power than you can imagine. And frankly, you've got none. I enjoy this job. You won't get it so easily. Trust me... fighting you all gives me adrenaline."
"Huh," Lavinia cocked her head. "Maybe we'll get along better than I initially thought. We're more similar than I realized."
"As if I could ever get along with you."
"Trust me, one day it'll benefit you in the end."
"Benefit me? You're talking to the wrong person. You're something... something in-superior. No one cares about you," Kaira leaned over. "So back off."
"Heh, well, suit yourself," Lavinia shrugged. "That's your choice. I'm just offering you a choice."
"A choice of what?"
"I want to duel," Lavinia frowned. "They say you're the strongest, right? Well, I'm about to prove them all wrong."
"Heh," Kaira smirked. "Alright. You're right. We are more similar than I originally thought. But the difference between you and I is simple."
"Oh? What is that?"
"I don't lose."

"Saiko doesn't think this is a good idea," Saiko frowned. "Saiko doesn't want Satsuki to get hurt."
"Me? Get hurt? There's no way," Kaira laughed. "The girl's about to realize what's coming her way."
"Saiko doesn't know... the girl seems so confident. She probably has a trick up her sleeve," Saiko said. "Saiko doesn't want Kaira to go. Besides, what if Lavinia knows how to use her power?"
"Then it's not going to be a big deal," Kaira looked away. "...have some faith in me. There's no way I'll lose to her."
"But-"
"Saiko," Kaira interrupted. "I'm going to be fine. There's no worries. It's just time for her to realize that she isn't going to rule the place."
"...okay," Saiko sighed. "Saiko just doesn't want Satsuki to get hurt."
"Come on," Kaira laughed. "Do you really think she can stand a chance against me?"

"It was... eleven years ago, i believe..." Rosalina recalled. "No, twelve years... I think. The specifics don't matter..."
"Okay..." Daisy looked at her expectantly. "And..."
"Well... that was when this place was originally created... as Kaira told you... correct?"
"Yes?"
Rosalina looked her straight in the eye.
"It wasn't Mario who created this place... It wasn't his idea.. it was me."
