"Pauline!" The orange princess went up to her.
"I need to speak with you."

"I can see that," The co-leader sighed. "What do you want?"

"I want you to tell me..." Daisy said. "I want you to tell me what is going on here. How this place was created. How could you guys do that to Kaira? I want to know the truth."

"It's not me you should be asking," Pauline sneered. "And besides, you don't have any right to know. No specialty, no cool magic, no lust for blood. There is no reason for anyone to tell you."

"Oh? Is that so?" Daisy cocked her head. "How about I encountered Satsuki and lived
to see the day? How I was personally trained by her and Toadette? Do you need me to go on?"

"Grr..." Pauline snarled. "You're nothing compared to them."

"Maybe," Daisy nodded. "Actually, absolutely. But isn't that enough?"

"I owe you nothing," Pauline sneered. "I won't ever tell you. But if you really want to know, why don't you ask your cell mate?"

Pauline walked away before Daisy could ask anything else.

Rosalina? What would Rosalina know?

Unfortunately, luck was not on her side, and Rosalina was not in the cell.

But, of course, people who weren't supposed to be there were there.

Daisy wasn't even surprised.

"Hi, Daisy!" Saiko cheered.

"Hey, Saiko," Daisy greeted. "Hi, Dixie."

"Hi! How are you?" Dixie asked, concerned. "You know.... just because..."

"I...I'm fine," Daisy sighed. "Just... confused."

"Yeah, understandable."

"Hey... Saiko," Daisy started. "How come you're okay with Kaira being..."

"She said it," Saiko responded. "She can't control it. It's not Kaira's fault. Saiko doesn't blame her at all. Even if it was Kaira's choice, Saiko would still stand by Kaira. Because Saiko understands. And Saiko gets it. Saiko wouldn't ever betray Kaira... wouldn't Daisy do that if Luigi did it?"

"I... I don't know."

"Well, just think about it!" Saiko smiled at her. "Sometimes when people need you, you have to put personal feelings aside. Sometimes justice isn't right. Loyalty or justice is what it comes down to," Saiko shrugged. "Saiko personally values loyalty more. It's what you do."

"I follow loyalty more too," Dixie chimed in. "Justice is impossible to have here, anyway. Toadette follows justice, though. I was really surprised that Toadette let Kaira slide.. without getting angry. Especially for her brother. Toadette has been mourning him for forever..."

"Well, it just shows that Toadette is loyal too," Saiko grinned. "Saiko is glad. Saiko would never betray you guys."

"Good to hear."

"Hey, Aquelia.. how are you?"

Rosalina was out making sure that the young girl was alright.

"I'm fine..." Aquelia sighed. "I-I just can't believe what I did..."

"It's not.. like you had control over it..." Rosalina shook her head. "It's not your fault..."

"But... if I was stronger, I could've stopped it..."

"No, you couldn't have..." Rosalina said. "There grasp... is strong. It's hard to shake it off..."

"But if I was stronger like you..." Aquelia protested. "I could've..."

"I can't resist it either..." Rosalina disagreed. "It's not your fault.. at all.."

"...if you say so, I guess.."

Rosalina could tell that Aquelia still felt really guilty, so to ease Aquelia's nerves, she patted the girl on the shoulder.

"Don't worry about it..." Rosalina mumbled. "Everyone got out safe... don't worry about anything.."

"I still hurt people, though... I almost hurt Daisy-San..."

"Hey, she's alright...And she doesn't... blame you at all... so you're fine."

"Okay... alright..." Aquelia breathed. "You're right... thank you."

"No problem at all..."

"...how's your.. arm?" Akane made an attempt at conversation with Ryan.

"Oh, it's great. There's nothing better than having your arm cut off by a psychopath and then expected to be okay with it," Ryan huffed. "Nothing better."

"Calm down, Wolfie, I was just making sure," Akane snapped back. "You could at least show some appreciation."

"Why would I have to show appreciation for your actions? What have you done?" Ryan growled. "Nothing. I don't owe you anything. So don't try to yell at me for something as stupid as that!"

"I was just trying to make conversation, and you totally snapped at me! At least I made an effort! You know what, screw it. This is why I like being anti-social," Akane shook her head. "To avoid people like you."

She walked away, annoyed.

"Good riddance."

It was the middle of the evening when Rosalina returned. Daisy was daydreaming on her bed, but sat up when Rosalina entered.

"Hello... Daisy.." Rosalina said tentatively. She wasn't sure if Daisy was still mad at her.

"Hi," Daisy answered sharply. "Listen...you don't want me to be mad at you, right?"

Rosalina nodded.

"So you can tell me something," Daisy negotiated. "Tell me how this place was created."
