"So you're Luigi?" Saiko asked. "That's slightly disappointing! Saiko always expected Daisy's friend to be much more awesome."
"Saiko," Kaira sighed. "This is supposed to be a nice friendly reunion. Don't make it extremely awkward for them."
"...I think you guys... Already did.." Rosalina pointed out.
"Luigi... Did they hurt your birthmark yet?" Daisy questioned, ignoring the three.
"My... What?" Luigi asked, puzzled. "How did you know about my..?"
"We all have one," Daisy explained. "Assuming by your words, I'll assume they haven't injured it yet. Where is it?"
Luigi held his left arm out. A L was on the inside of his wrist. Kaira was quick to draw her blade, but Saiko stopped her.
"You might slice his hand off," Saiko whispered. "Let her do it."
"This is going to hurt," Daisy warned. "Sorry."
"What's going to hurt?"
Daisy quickly grabbed his wrist and sliced his birthmark with her rapier. He gasped in pain, confused.
"What- Daisy-?" He panted as he held his bloodied wrist. "Why-"
"Daisy... watch out-!"
Rosalina quickly tackled Daisy to the ground. Not even a second after, a flash of lighting bolted right where Daisy was standing.
"Th-thanks," Daisy gasped. "I should've known-"
"You're welcome..." Rosalina quickly stood up. "Luigi..."
"What is happening!?" Luigi despaired. "How did that happened? That was her, right?" He pointed to Kaira. "She's the only one who hasn't shown her power! And she said she needs bloodshed!"
"What an idiot," Kaira shook her head. "I suppose he's just in disbelief. No, you did that yourself."
"What?" Luigi said in disbelief. "No, that wasn't me. I'd never hurt Daisy-"
He was cut off as he looked at his hands. Lightening weaved through his fingers. He screamed in fear at himself.
"So that's why I'm here..." Luigi muttered, slightly creeped out by his new interior. "Mario was right.. And I was wrong.."
Rosalina's fists clenched.
"Mario? What about him?" Daisy questioned.
"Perhaps it's time for Luigi to leave!" Saiko interrupted. "Maybe another time we can discuss this? Saiko is sure Luigi is tired."
"Actually, I think I-"
"Wonderful idea, Saiko," Kaira locked eyes with Daisy. "It's time for Luigi to leave."
"Wait, Luigi-" Daisy started, but she wasn't able to finish what she was saying as Kaira and Saiko practically pushed Luigi out of the room. "What's happening?"
"...trust me, Daisy... You don't want to know."
<><><>
"What was up with that?" Daisy huffed as she stared down Saiko and Kaira.
"Excuse me?" Kaira frowned.
"Why'd you take Luigi out of the room? He's one of my best friend's. There was no need to make him leave, I'm sure he could've handled being tired-"
"Daisy, we did it for plenty of reasons," Saiko chirped. "You just don't know yet!"
"Wow, I think that was pretty obvious," Daisy said. "So can you tell me?"
"If I told you, I'd have to kill you," Kaira told her seriously. Daisy laughed, thinking it was a joke, but fell silent when she saw the look in her eyes.
Kaira wasn't joking.
"Well, okay then..." Daisy averted her eyes. "You'd really have to k...kill me..?"
"...lets not talk about that," Kaira changed the subject. "I don't want to talk about such things."
"You don't want to talk about killing me," Daisy shot back. "I understand, but what could be so important?"
"I just told you- if I tell you, I'll have to kill you," Kaira sighed. "So why are you still trying to find out?"
"Um.. Because...? I'm curious, I suppose."
"Curiosity will get you killed."
"Well, at least I can defend myself now," Daisy chuckled lightly. "At least slightly."
"Defend yourself? Against me? I don't know about that," Kaira stated. "...are you willing to put that to the test?"
Daisy stared in shock as Kaira drew her blades.
"W-wait, you're not serious, are you?" Daisy's eyes widened.
"I thought you said you could defend yourself," Kaira reminded her. "Show me you can."
Almost out of nowhere Kaira quickly sprinted towards her. Daisy panicked slightly, blocking Kaira's blow from her katana with her rapier barely. Kaira launched a full scale attack on Daisy and Daisy was barely able to keep up.
Well, there was a point where she couldn't keep up.
It had only been thirty seconds at most when Daisy collapsed under pressure. She quickly sealed herself in a dirt-made sphere, to catch her breath. Occasional grass stuck out in places.
In a clean slice, her shelter was split open. Daisy panted in disbelief. She scrambled for her rapier, but Kaira placed her katanas away.
"Impressive... For a newbie like you," Kaira muttered. "But your strategy is poor. You need to launch more offense instead of defense, especially with your specialty."
"O-okay," Daisy gasped for breath. She was exhausted and honestly surprised she wasn't dead. Kaira began to walk away.
"I'm surprised you lasted that long," Kaira commented as she looked over her shoulder. She grinned maliciously. "Most of them died when I did that."
She's scarily strong. I'm never going to upset her.
Too late.
So hey everyone, sorry there hasn't been many updates for this book. OC's will appear maybe soon? I don't want to make any promises.
