Kaye's condo is just across mine.  She made sure we will be living under same building.  So, while I was still in Glendale, she facilitated buying for my place.  Hindi halata ang atat niya maging kapitbahay ko.

For the meantime I stayed at her place since I haven't moved in yet.  There are still some things to be fixed inside.  Though I am no fan of condominium units but having a place of my own here in Manila is something to be excited about.

"Wow, your place is nice!" I can't help but admire the interior finish of her unit. It's modern and cozy.  As if everything is put into places. very minimalist.  "Hope I can make mine as nice as this."  naibulalas ko sa sobrang pagkamangha.  Well, I've been to nice places in hotels and resorts but her is something personalized.  At ito yung nagustuhan ko dito.  Para bang pag andito ka sa loob, you won't think of going out.  You will just suit yourself lying on the couch and watching movies or listening to music all day long.  Bigla gusto ko ng umuwi na Davao! I miss Mama Marina.

"Well, pwedeng pwede!" she exclaimed as if something popped up her mind.  "I have a cousin who into interior design at siya ang may gawa nito lahat.  I just gave her what I want and this is it." she proudly said as she poured an ice cold juice in a serving glass and sliced banana  in a platter.  

Nasa kabilang unit ko si Josef at pinapasok yung isang may kalakihang balikbayan box.  Dito ko naman ipinababa yung isang medium size box since andito pasalubong ko for Kaye.  I used to buy things whenever I saw some things for Kaye.  This is if I get the chance to stroll around malls or anywhere I went at naalala ko siya sa mga nakikita kong bagay kaya medyo naipon yun.  That's for almost of my whole stay in America.

She's been like a sister to me that I haven't.  I used to be aloof to people that I learned to seclude myself from everyone else since my med school until residency.  Pagkatapos ng masalimuot na karanasan ko ay mas lalo akong distant na sa mga tao even to my colleagues.  Mahirap magtiwala ulit sa kapwa.  Mas mabuti ang mag-isa.  less hassle, less complications.

"Di naman kailangan.  mas gusto ko yung may personal touch talaga.  Tsaka ang mahal kaya ng mga TF ng interior designer." nakanguso kong sabi.  " Ako nalang ang bibili ng mga gamit" habang sumubo ng banana slice.  "And sarap nito.  Marunong ka ng mag bake?" litong tanong ko sa kanya.

Ngumisi lang ang bruha sa akin while moving her eyebrows real quick. "Josef loves to eat baked pastries kaya natuto akong mag bake." Abah! this is what love can do huh? Sabagay, there is a thin layer between love and frienship.  more so with love and hate? ipinilig ko ang ulo ko para mawaglit sa isipan ang maliit na boses na yun.

"Kuripot nito." napaismid na sabi niya.  she might have sensed my hesitations. natawa naman ako sa sinabi niya.  Ganoon siya.  she can easily read me. "Dont wori, I'll take care of everything.  Let's ask for some discount para mapanatag ka.  We'll make appointment with her, hold a second."  so typical of her.  she can be bossy sometimes.  she is talking on her phone, kausap na ata ang pinsan nito.  uminom ako ng juice.  it looks inviting with the water droplets around the glass.  

Napansin ko ang pagpasok ni Josef.  galing ata ito sa unit ko.  ng sign language siya ng thumbs up.  I mouthed him 'thank you' on his way to the kitchen.  

Josef joined us during lunch.  I can see so much in them.  Masaya ako sa kanila.  Better they end up with each other and Josef realized soon enough.  maloko pa naman ito sa mga babae.  nuti na lang napaamo ito ni kaye I smiled at the thought.

Dumating na rin ang interior designer niyang pinsan.  We discussed on what I want my place to become.  matiyaga naman siyang nakinig and she was very articulate to put the things I like in a visual manner.  That what technology can do.  So di pa man natapos yung paggawa, I can see the result of all the things I like through the screen after few hours.  Creative media design presentation in 3D animation and visual effects! kaya masyado kong na appreciate,  ang galing niya talaga.

Daphne is gifted with skills that one's imagination would perfectly be achieved.  Meron siyang gaoong klaseng talento.  She told me it will be done after two weeks.  I agreed to it since I'll be staying in Davao for that duration of time.

We decided to go to the hospital tomorrow for my appearance.  All we did is catching up for the rest of the day.  Bumida ulit and popcorn sa amin habang nagkukwentuhan at nag movie marathon.  I miss this...
