The next morning Stevie would, call Ameera's school, letting them know she wasn't coming. Stevie thought it was best to let her sleep in and rid any of the bad, left in her body. Whatever little virus it was, needed to be flushed out.
Stevie would stay home with Ameera and as much as Lindsey wanted too, he had to go to the studio. Without Lindsey and Stevie, not a lot would get accomplished. Since they were not present for one of the days, the whole day ended up being tossed away and nothing gets done. So, as long as half the duo showed up, things would be productive. It was probably best if Lindsey went to the studio anyway, simply because he was driving Stevie nuts, with how much he was worried about Ameera. His worriedness was sweet but a little excessive since Stevie knew what she was doing and knew how to take care of her daughter. Everything Stevie learned, she learned from her mom. Home remedy was one of the most important things Barbara could teach Stevie.
Ameera would open her eyes around nine in the morning, Stevie turned the corner to check on her and she notices her little girl awake. Stevie gently taps on the door and Ameera looks up at her and smiles. Stevie lets herself in, sits on the side of her bed and touches her face;
"How are you feeling, baby girl?" Ameera wanted to speak but couldn't really so she shrugged a little. She didn't know how she felt, it was hard to explain. Stevie sort of nods, "Anything I can get you?" Ameera nods her head no at first and then realized how thirsty she was. She was dehydrated from her dreams. She had been sweating throughout the night, so she also felt sticky and gross. "Can I have some water please?" She managed to say; sounding very groggy. Stevie nods and gets up to do so. When Stevie walks in, Ameera says, "I wanna shower. I feel so disgusting." Stevie nods and smiles as she hands her the water. She takes a drink of her water and hands it back to her mom, Stevie then helps her to sit up and when she does her heads starts to pound. "Ow!" She held on to her head.
"What's wrong, honey?"
"It feels like a brick is sitting on my skull, forcing it on my brain."
"It's just a pressure headache, you get those from stress." Stevie adds to make her feels more calm. Stevie was the queen of stress so she knew those headaches exactly. Stevie proceeded to help her daughter stand up. Ameera was really weak, hopefully she would feel better tomorrow. She really wanted to go to school, she hated getting behind in assignments, it took away front her free time, nite ti mention see him again. But, for now her body felt so heavy she didn't wanna stand, she thought she would fall. Once Ameera could walk by herself she made her way to the bathroom, her mom holding her clothes and towel. Stevie put them on the bathroom counter and left to let her get cleaned up. After Ameera was done and got her clothes on, she was out of breath a little. The constant movement after being in bed for several hours took a toll.
"Mom?" She called her Stevie. Stevie came up the stairs.
"Yes, doll?" She stood in the doorway. Ameera took the blow dryer out from under the bathroom sink.
"Could you blow dry and braid my hair for me, mommy?" She gave a look of slight embarresment, gave Stevie the blow dryer and She gladly took it. Ameera didn't wanna sound like a big baby, but she really didn't have the energy, and it was obvious.
"Sure." Stevie smiled. She could see that Ameera was about to fall asleep at any moment, and just like Stevie, she never liked sleeping on wet hair, and there was no way Ameera would be able to stay up long enough to let it air dry. Stevie blow-dried it, straight like Ameera had been doing and then braided it for her. Ameera wanted it in a braid, because she had been sweating through the night and her hair down, would make her feel even more hot.
After they were done, Ameera went back to her room, and she got back into bed. That little bit of movement exhausted her. She got under the covers, Rhiannon jumped on top of her and off, they went to sleep. Stevie giggles at how Rhiannon just plants herself anywhere. Stevie went downstairs and really didn't have much to do, so she cooked dinner early and put it in the fridge so when Lindsey got home, all she had to do was warm it up. She wasn't hungry and the house was clean, so she went back upstairs and watched Ameera sleep. Stevie could sense when her daughter was dreaming, of what? She didn't know but she just knew she was dreaming. Ameera started to fidget a little in her sleep having many dreams at once, it was flashes of different things. It was indeed supernatural, but why she was receiving them, was beyond her. She was breathing heavy and sweating slightly. Stevie started to shake her awake.
