The small family made it up to their rooms. Ameera wasn't tired, it was still moderately early so she decided to get a shower, dry her hair and the whole nine yards before bed. The latest Stevie and Lindsey allowed her to stay up was twelve and that was on a school night. However Fridays and Saturdays, she went to bed at whatever time pleased her. Her parents didn't mind much, them being party animals themselves. Today was Friday so she would crash, whenever.
Lindsey and Stevie would get ready for bed, and just hang out in the room a while. They were a little tired having been in the studio all day but they weren't exhausted.
Stevie would clean up around the house and make a late dinner. "Anyone hungry?" she shouted from the kitchen, reaching Lindsey in the bedroom.
He cane running down. "What's available?" he kissed her on the side of the face from the back, with his arms around her shoulders.
"Made pasta. Ameera hasn't eaten since school probably."
He laughed at his wife a little. "Alright let's eat together, then," he sat down at the dining room table.
Stevie served them all and Ameera hadn't yet come down. "Honey! come down here baby girl. I made dinner."
Ameera was in a cream silk robe and some slippers, hair still wet and tangled. "Ooh pasta, I'm actually hungry," she sat down---staring at the food, it looked and smelled good. "Thank you, mama."
"Didn't you eat at school?" Lindsey asked her.
"No, daddy I wasn't too hungry, today."
Stevie looked down at Lindsey,
"Well, eat up honey. You must be starved by now," she said---sitting down about to eat also. They go about their business, Lindsey washed the dishes while Stevie went up to take a shower, and Ameera would check her planner for anything important coming up.
Ameera had a stereo in her room and always had it loud. She was used to blasting music. Her parents never complained about the way she made her room, her little sanctuary, in fact they loved it. One thing Lindsey loved the most about his daughter, was that she wasn't boy crazy like all other teenage girls. No, she was into her artistic abilities. She noticed some boys here and there and thought they were cute, but never tried to flirt to get there. She thought it was kind of dumb to go out of her way for another person. She wasn't boy crazy but she was in love with a lot of great artists.
When Stevie got out of the shower she sat at her vanity, with her red silk robe on, and a her hair in a towel.
Lindsey would take his shower in the morning, he did this because he didn't like to wait for the hot water, after the girls took extremely long showers. He would put his pajamas on, crawl into bed, and wait for his life love to join him.
Stevie and Ameera hated going to sleep with wet hair so they dried it right after their showers. Stevie would blow dry hers straight and Ameera would scrunch dry hers. Ameera was all about bringing the 70s back, along with the fact that she had her father's curly hair, so it was hard to keep it straight. She would put some pajamas on and that normally consisted of a nightgown or shorts and a tank top. She felt restricted if she wore sweatpants to bed. She would lay down in her huge comfy bed full of pillows and look at the ceiling with her paper flowers that hung. She layed there spaced out with a million thoughts in her head but at night the only thing that would pop up first and last was. "I don't know what I want or need to be perfectly honest. Help me," she would then fall into a deep sleep. It was barely eleven, but sometimes she didn't make it to her twelve o'clock limit.

Lindsey and Stevie would stay awake and talk about different things. But for now the only thing on their mind was their daughter.
