Osmond went down the stairs and he was getting his bag. He bumped into Jess and Barbara on the way down.
"Hey, how is she?" Barbara asked.
"I don't know, yet. I'm gonna get my things to check her out."
"Okay," Barbara said as she proceeded up the stairs.
Osmond descended down the rest of the stairs and Jess stayed quiet and after Osmond left, he turned to his wife. "Who's that?" he asked offended.
"Her boyfriend- Osmond."
"When did he get here?" he asked with a slight tone, since he wasn't informed. "Did you let him in?"
"He got here like ten minutes ago and yes, I did."
"You let him into her room?"
"Jess, we've had this talk before, about Stevie and we're not having it again. She can't really move, not without feeling dizzy, at least and he's gonna check to see if any thing's wrong."
"You're impossible," he kind of grunted. It bothered him, of how carefree, both his wife and daughter are. Especially with matters like these.
They make their way up to the room and they go into Ameera's and she was awake.
"Hey, baby. I was bringing you some ice," her grandmother said, handing her a cup.
"Thank you," she responded slightly.
"You're welcome, honey. So are you happy to see him?" Barbara smiled.
"Mhmm, I didn't know he was coming. He never told me, he'd planned to visit."
"That's sweet," she smiled.
"Yeah, sweet," Jess said sarcastically.
"Ugh, would you give it rest?" his wife asked. "He's here and there is nothing we can do now."
"Alright, well, I'm going downstairs and I'm going to... I don't know where, but somewhere."
"Have fun," she shook her head, rolling her eyes as he left.
"Is he okay?" Ameera asked a little confused.
"Yeah, he's fine. He isn't thrilled about Osmond being here. I don't know why, he doesn't even know him and he seems really nice. Very polite," she smiled.
"He is," she smiled. "I understand. I'm wondering now, where he had planned to go, if he was visiting. He may have gotten a motel or something," she shrugged.
"If not, he's welcome to stay here."
"Really? I don't think-"
"It's fine. He can sleep in the next room. I think it'll be fine, your grandfather was just mad, he didn't meet him, before I invited him in."
"I understand," she nodded.
"Anyway, how are you feeling?"
"Uh, my head just kind of hurts... and wrist."
"Maybe he can look at that, too."
Ameera nodded.
A few minutes later, Osmond returned with his bag. He sat down next to her on the edge of the bed. Barbara didn't leave and that was because, she wanted to hear what Osmond had to say.
"Here, put this under your tongue," he said, placing a thermometer in her mouth. She was trying not to giggle and that was because, she didn't think she'd ever see him take care of her like this. He winked at her because, he could sense her emotion.
