Ameera and Osmond were out at the movies and Osmond had taken her to a drive in. He knew she'd love the old fashion factor to that. "What?" He catches her smiling at him.
"Nothing." She shakes her head. "You shock me." He looks at her.
"In a good way I hope." He chuckles and she nods
"Of course." She rubs his arm. "You're so perfect. You really are an angel." He chuckles.
"I may be an angel by law, but you are by heart." She curls up closer to him closing her eyes as she laid her head on his arm. He, of course watched her as she slept. He was her divine protector and he wouldn't do anything to change that. He loved her.
One a.m. was rolling around and Osmond and Ameera were still, not yet home. Stevie and Lindsey were still in the afterglow of their love making and yet by the end he was still looking at his watch and awaiting for the car to pull up.
"It's nearly one." Lindsey notifies Stevie as if that was supposed to mean something monumental.
"And?" She replied in a half sleeping, half attituded tone.
"What do you mean 'and'?" He looks down at her and she was laying sideways beside him, with her head to his feet and her elbow propping her head up.
"Lindsey, it's only one. Please, calm down."
"No, no. It's not only one, it's already one and she isn't back yet."
"Ugh." She moves her elbow letting herself collapse on the bed. She then sits up again and locks her hands together. "Lindsey?"
"Yes, sweetheart?" He knew he was about to get lectured... or yelled at. Stevie rolls her eyes.
"Movies last long sometimes, maybe it's not over?"
"Yeah, but what if they aren't at the movies and-"
"Okay!" She puts her hands up. "Let me stop you right there, Buckingham." He stops and listens. "Do you really think our daughter would do something like that?" She asks rhetorically. "I know she wouldn't."
"I know she wouldn't either." He admits.
"Then...?" She wants an explanation for his behavior. He stays quiet and Stevie waits.
"What do you think of this kid, Osmond?" Lindsey asks his wife seriously.
"I think he is a sweet kid." She tells the truth. "I think he is a real gentlemen towards her." She shrugs her shoulder a little, bringing her knees to her chest.
"Do you?" He leans foward, coming closer to Stevie.
"I do." She nods her head. "Lindsey?" She pauses, "Do you?" She gives a semi stern look.
"I don't know." He says plainly. "I really have no clue." He runs his hand through his hair. "I want to like him a lot, but it is so hard cause' all I can think is; he is gonna take her away from me." Stevie comes closer to her husband taking his hands.
"Lindsey, he is not gonna take her away. I can absolutely promise you that." She says sternfully and sympathetically.
"How do you know?" He looks into her eyes.
"Because, I know." Stevie pauses. "You didn't take me away from my parents." Lindsey loses eye contact and looks down to the sheets among the bed. "Honey," she lifted his head up to meet her's again. "You gotta cut him a little slack. Ameera really loves him." She just lets him know that Ameera does. He looks at her.
"Does she? Does he love her?" He asks and Stevie nods.
"They are very much in love. They are very connected, they need each other." She shrugs a little.
