"Hi," Houston said a little low.
"Hi," she stood abuptly to hug him.
Can I read his mind? Osmond asked.
If you feel the need to... she curled her lips as she looked at Osmond. Sitting down, Osmond put an arm around her.
In the next seconds, the bell rang.
Ameera stood once again and Osmond followed. "Houston, I'll be right back---please, please don't go anywhere," she begged.
"I won't," he half smiled as he watched the two walk off.
—
"I love you," she kissed his lips passionately and he hugged her tightly.
"I love you too," she burried his face into her neck. "I'll see you after school, alright?"
She nodded. Pulling away, she took his hands. "I hate that you have to leave," she whined.
"I know, but I'll be back during the summer. I just---I had to come this time, you seen," he assured.
"I know, I think my mistake was worth it," she giggled as she kissed his lips once again. "Love you, I'll see you," she watched him walk to his car and she then made her way back.
"Who was that?" Rebecca asked with wide eyes as she watched her friend make out with the handsome kid.
"Hey?" she wrapped an arm around her friend's shoulders as she guided her back inside the gate. "That was Angel," she replied.
"Her boyfriend," Houston tried not roll her eyes as he handed Ameera her purse.
How am I supposed to respond to him? Ameera leered for an answer.
'Just be cool, he's mad, but... there isn't anything you can do about that. He's jealous,' stated Osmond.
Well, I'm about to really knock the ignorance off of him if he doesn't knock it off. It was a great friendship and I would hate losing him as friend. This probably bothers you, but it's my truth... she mentioned.
'But I get that it bothers you, babe. You're very sensitive and you prefer for people to like you,' he responded.
"Well, I don't wanna be hated..." she lingered through a slight pout.
"Huh?" both Rebecca and Houston asked.
"Nothing, me just being… me," she rolled her eyes at herself. Her eyes averted to the ground. Nice one, Ameera, she said sarcastically.
Osmond chuckled. 'Don't stress. You got it---I'm gonna make sure everything is good for my drive back. Enjoy your day and good luck with the kids next to you.'
Okay, she giggled. Holding a smile she had reached her destination with her friends.
"We're gonna be late," Rebecca mentioned.
"I'll be right in," Ameera said calmly.
"Okay..." Rebecca lingered as she made her way.
"Can we talk a minute?" she asked Houston.
He shrugged. "Can we?"
Angel, give me strength... she let out a mental breath. "Look, I don't know what is wrong with you," she paused. "I love you a lot and I don't want this friendship to end."
"Neither do I," he agreed.
"Houston---sounds like you do."
He creased a brow.
