Stevie continued to comfort her daughter and eventually Lindsey makes his presence known. He opened the door slowly and he finally walks in. Ameera had sort of pulled herself, semi together and she had already detached from hugging her mom.
"Hey," Lindsey said in a soft tone.
"Hi," Ameera replied and Stevie just looked at him with a soft smile.
"What's going on?" Lindsey asked as he sat down on the little ottoman next to the bed.
"I just wasn't feeling well," Ameera said. She was honest though she wasn't feeling well in a different way.
Lindsey nodded and his eyes wandered to Stevie and she looked at him, giving him a small, forced smile. He knew there was tension going on within his daughter, but he didn't want to push.
"Okay," he put his head down.
There was a huge dark cloud in the room and Lindsey felt terrible because, had he have let his daughter stay home or tour, she'd probably not be upset and hurting, but he had his own fears and parts of his fears had come true unbeknownst to him and Stevie. Stevie wouldn't be overly worried about what her daughter had done a couple days ago, but she wouldn't be overly thrilled either. But like she told her husband: it's gonna happen eventually and there was no way to stop it from happening. Ameera is a young adult and she'll be making decisions like that on her own. Although Stevie did think it was a little harsh for Lindsey to think that just because, of one boy, she'd have wandering eyes for others as well. She thought it was below him to think his daughter would do something like that. Ameera is young, but she is so far beyond her years, that she had the morals to not do anything of the sort.
Ameera gets up and begins to get her things ready for her 'first' day of school.
Stevie and Lindsey stay seated, where they had been sitting for the last half hour and fifteen minutes. They watched their daughter as she moved about the room and she was just adding the larger stones by the window to be exposed by the sunlight.
"What's that for?" Lindsey asked in a quiet tone. He'd never seen his daughter put the stones in the window seal before. Usually they were already around her room; by her bed, under her pillow, or as decoration.
Stevie kind of chuckled.
"So they get energy from the sunlight," Ameera said as she lined them up among the window seal. "Then at night they can soak up the moonlight's energy," she assured and Lindsey kind of nodded, still not really knowing what that meant.
"Should I do that with the ones you're gonna give me?" he asked, just wanted to keep a conversation, to pull her from her downhearted thoughts.
"I'm gonna do it right now with all of them and then tomorrow all you have to do is put them in your pillow. But because, you are touring, I think you guys should keep them on you," she paused. "I know you now that, mom," Ameera said sounding unamused by herself.
Stevie nodded with smile.
"Could you give Angel his for me? I can give you the address and maybe you could take them to him for me?" she asked sweetly. Though she was still in slight distress because, she didn't even realize she said 'Angel'. She didn't like to say Osmond's last name in front of her dad, for whatever reason.
"We sure can," Stevie assured.
"Thanks," Ameera said as she rewrote the address to give to her mom. She then handed it to Stevie and then she gave it to Lindsey.
"Don't lose it," Stevie points a finger and Lindsey rolled his eyes.
'I won't," he said as he folded it up. "How come you have his address?" Lindsey asked kind of weirded out.
