A Few Weeks Later

After a sometime Stevie and Lindsey were still questioning their daughter's words. "She'll remind me that, 'love is a state of mind'." But what did that mean? Obviously there was a definition for Stevie, but neither Lindsey nor Stevie could figure out what their daughter meant. They were still debating with each other on the subject, unbeknownst to Ameera.

It was Monday morning and they were all getting ready to start the week off; Ameera hated leaving her baby alone, Rhiannon had grown so much, in the past few weeks, she was almost full grown but still technically a baby. Though, she hated leaving her, she had too, simply because she had to go to school.

Ameera would get herself ready, and the past couple days, she had been straightening her hair. She found that blow drying it kept it straight, rather than just straightening with the iron, she still used it of course, for her bangs, but she loved how her hair looked. She also loved the fact that she looked more like her mom with the straight her, now she really was a splitting image between both parents. For today she would wear; black leggings, black high heel boots and a long black coat, that she would most likely keep on all day, she also wore a thin longsleeve shirt under. When she finished getting her clothes omen and makeup, which didn't take nearly as long, now that she got the hang of the eyes. She spritzed some perfume on and made sure her cat had everything she needed before she left. Ameera was very responsible, when it came to getting her priorities done first. She was good about doing her homework. She also knew how to negotiate with herself about her grades. If she had an assignment that she really didn't want to do, she would check all her grades and scores, and she would figure out if it would be automatically replaced with a new grade. She was smart about this, she took everything into concideration, she figured this tactic this year, due to her having straight A's. It was always interesting the way she went about this, her parents didn't say anything about it, because she was passing, and as long as she was passing they were happy and they were proud of her for figuring this little way out.

"Ameera, let's go!" The sound of her dad's voice fills her ears, he was yelling from the bottom of the stairs. Stevie walks by Lindsey, and pats him on the arm;

"Stop yelling, you're gonna wake the neighborhood." She sips her coffee and heads for the front door. Ameera comes running down and she is met by her father on the last step.

"I'm here, I'm ready." They had woken up a little late today, so they were rushing slightly.

"Alright, lets go." Ameera runs out and Lindsey shuts and locks the door, before hopping in the driver's seat and taking off.

Ameera gets to school in time to sit at her bench and chill a little before going to class. Her friend, Sarah normally came shortly after she did, and since Ameera was late and Sarah wasn't there, she figured Sarah wouldn't be there for the day.

A few minutes go by and she is just writing something down. One of her favorite things to do, as she does her own thing, is to see all the kids and teachers who come by. Teachers always waved and knew her by "the girl who always knits and writes" some knew her name and she loved that she had created a name for herself. But this particular morning, she had seen someone walk by, and it was a boy. She had never seen him before, ever. He was really handsome; dark hair, light eyes, strong upper body and the most beautiful face. He really had caught her attention, for a couple reasons; she had never seen him before and he was absolutely gorgeous. She didn't know who he was, his face nor his name. But, she was determined to find out.

A very short chapter, but I wanted to get something up. Let me know what you think, I'd really appreciate it.🖤
