"Who's it from?" Lindsey asked. He was just curious.

"Huh?" Ameera shot her head up.

"Who's it from?" he repeats his question.

"Oh, I don't know," she said truthfully. She pulled it out of the envelope and began reading it.

My love,

I am going to help you get through the next few months as best as I can. I'm not going to be with you, but if you let me I can be there in spirit where you can see me. I'll be there when you have big decisions to make. You're going to be the only one to see me. You have to be careful not to talk to me in public. Answer in your head and I'll hear you. This is a new technique I'm trying, I was told it'll be a strong connection. I am here for you. When you need me, call my name and a ghostly shadow will appear and you'll be able to see me faintly, but we'll be able to talk. It's the same shadow that will appear at anytime. No one will ever see me. I can sense the negative feeling you feel and I just want to let you know that I love you and I'm here.

P.S. This will be coming on a Sunday. Tell them it's just Rebecca, my mail to you is always gonna be anonymous...

Ameera semi smiled as she read the letter because, that gave her the hint he was listening to her thoughts. She wondered how he new some of her friends, but at the same time she didn't question it.

"Did you find out who it was?" Lindsey asked.

"Uh, yeah. It was one of my friends from school here. Ya know um- Rebecca?"

Lindsey semi nodded because, the name seemed familiar, though he really didn't know who it was.

"Oh yeah, she's a sweet girl," Jess said with a smile. He recalled the young lady and she was nice, he thought. "What did she say?"

"Uh, she said she seen us on our way home while we driving," Ameera chuckled. "She said, she wants to hang out at the mall, sometime this week."

"Oh. That's nice, sweetheart," Lindsey responded. He was happy that she would have something to do in this first week.

"Yep. May I use the phone," she asked.

"Go ahead," Jess responded.

"Thanks." Ameera then grabbed the landline and made her way up the stairs to her room again. She had hoped her friend's number was the same because, now she had to set up their little date for the afternoon and she had to hope she wasn't busy.

'No.'

Ameera heard a voice say and she stopped. She didn't really know what it was at the same time she had a feeling. She went back to what she was doing and she turned to look through her small phone book again.

The phone began to ring and Ameera semi jumped because, she was very into what she was doing. She answered the phone.

"Hello?" she responded.

"Ameera?"

"Yes," she paused. "Osmond?"

"Hey," he said through a smile and she could hear that on his face.

"What's up? I miss you."

"I miss you, too and nothing. I was just wondering if you heard me?"

"Heard you? Oh, was that you stopping me from calling my friend?"
