A Few Weeks Later
"Honey, I really think you should go to the doctor." Lindsey begs Stevie. She gives him a mean-ish look rolling her eyes. "Angel, you've been feeling like this for weeks, I'm really starting to worry."
"Ugh, fine."
"What?" Lindsey was shocked she gave in.
"I said fine. I'll see my doctor." She crosses her arms.
"Thank you, sweetheart." He kisses Stevie on the cheek. "I just need to know you're okay for my own sanity." He hugs her tightly.
"I know, honey. I love you for that." She kisses him on the lips as she held on to his waist tightly.
The past couple weeks have been a little nuts in the studio, due to making the album so Stevie was a little stressed out. Lindsey was about to rip his hair out because when Stevie stressed he stressed, not to mention her being sick made him nervous. Ameera continues to see Osmond and her dad does not yet know. Stevie was aware they'd hang out daily at school. Ameera was nervous, because Osmond wanted to meet her parents. She had no doubt that her mother would love him, but her father was a different case. She didn't know if Lindsey would hate him or not but she just didn't know how he would take the idea of a boy taking his place. Not that anyone could ever replace her father, that's impossible, but she would never want him to get that notion from another boy or man in her life.
It was the end of the day and Ameera was with Osmond in the library.
"I think it's a good idea." He says to her as he holds her hands tightly.
"Me too, but I'm scared." She replies.
"Can't we do it tonight? It's a school night so it's not like I'm spending the night, not that I could anyway." He says into her ear quietly. They were very close in distance.
"I think my dad will flip, God love him, but he will flip." She assures him.
"I think it's time I meet them." He looks at her longly waiting for her to give in.
"Look. I really want you to, too. I know my mom will love you she already knows a lot about you, she knows that I like you but she doesn't know that we are in love. And, frankly I don't think love sums up what we are." She stands.
"What do you mean?" He looks up at her and stands also.
"I mean, what if we just..."
"What?" He says calmly as he leers at her.
"What if we just enjoy each other's company and we don't really love each other." He chuckles. "Think about it."
"Okay." He smiles grasping on to her hands.
"Okay, say we are like every student here; are into modern things, computers and we have all that in common, okay?"
"Yes." He gives her the okay to continue.
"Well, if there are students like that in this school now, and if they are in love," she uses air quotes. "then how do we know that isn't us? Just because we have the same thing in common doesn't mean we are actually in love."
