"Ameera?" Barbara was saying softly.

Ameera flinched to the smell of the alcohol by her nose. Her grandmother was trying to get her to wake up and when she started to come to, she opened her eyes slowly. She was trying to figure where she was and she finally realized she was in the living room on the couch.

"What happened?" she asked because, her grandmother was sitting on the edge of the couch next to her and her grandfather was standing behind Barbara.

'You fainted, honey," Barbara said as she closed the alcohol. "What's the last thing you remember?"

"Uh...," she paused. She paused as she tried to think after she left Houston's. "Houston drove me home, you and I talked," she shrugged. She was still able to stick to her lie.

"Oh, well. You fainted as you were going up the stairs, I think it had to do with that fever you have."

"Fever? I feel great," she said as she popped up from the couch. "Ooh, maybe not,'' she held her head." She looked at her grandparents. "I'm fine. I'm gonna go write a letter to Osmond."

"No, you're gonna rest. Jess, will you help her up the stairs, I'm gonna find some Motrin for her fever."

"Yeah," he nodded. "Alright, come on." He did his best to help her up and she held on to the railing. She was trying to race up so she could get there faster.

"Please, go slow," her grandmother urged.

Ameera sighed and held on to the railing and leaned against it as she went up the stairs.

"I thought I told you not to get hurt," Jess said with a slight chuckle.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. I forgot I sprained it. Just don't tell my parents and we'll all be okay," she shrugged.

Jess shook his head and got her into her room, where he left her, so she could change. She got into her clothes and she grabbed a pen and paper and put it under her pillow, before she got into bed.

"What? Mom!" Stevie said on the other side of the phone. "Is she okay?"

"Honey, I was just calling to let you know. I have it under control and she is in bed," Barbara tried calming her daughter.

"Did the fever go down?"

"I'm going to check again, right now. Oh, and she sprained her wrist."

"What?" she exclaimed. "Are you trying to give me stress?"

"No, honey. Never. I'm just letting you know. Where's Lindsey? Maybe he'll be calmer than you."

"That was a joke, right?"

Barbara chuckled. "Do you want to talk to her?"

"I'd love to," Stevie rolled her eyes as if her mother could see her.

"Don't roll your eyes at me, young lady."

"How'd you- know what? Never mind, where's my child?"

"She's right here," Barbara said before handing the phone to her granddaughter. "Your mommy," she whispered.

Ameera nodded. "Hi, mama."

"Hi, my sweet girl. How are you?" Stevie said, sounding sympathetic.

"I'm fine, mommy," Ameera assured.

"You fainting and a sprained wrist isn't nothing..." Stevie trailed.

Ameera covered the speaker with her palm. "You told her?" she whispered to her grandmother.
