Later that evening Jess had come home from doing his daily tasks. Once he was home he was told by his wife that his granddaughter wasn't well. When he asked of Osmond's whereabouts, he was being met by the young man at the front door.

"Hi sir," Osmond said as he entered with his bag in his hand.

"Hey, what's going on with Ameera?" he asked.

"She's just got a fever.

"But I gave her Tylenol," Barbara quickly added.

"Oh, okay. Good," Jess stayed content.

"Why don't you get settled?" Barbara urged the young man.

"Thanks," he nodded his head with a small smile before racing up the steps.

"Okay?" Barbara asked her husband.

He kind of shrugged his shoulders. "So I take it that dinner is canceled," he mentioned.

"Yep. She needs to rest."

During the night a violent scream came Ameera's room. One that only made Jess and Barbara  come running in for. Only the bedroom door was wide open and the light was on. When they got there all they saw was Osmond seated on the bed cradling Ameera.

Osmond had Ameera in a tight embrace from behind. His hands fell locked around her chest. His lips were pressed to the side of her head as he breathed calmly to help her calm down.

She was breathing rather heavily worked up from the fever and dream she encountered during her restless sleep. She was sweaty and her hair stuck to her neck as a result.

As Jess was going to walk forward, Barbara placed her hand on his arm to keep him from moving further.

He looked at her in confusion.

She shook her head---letting him know to leave them alone. She could see her granddaughter very calm in Osmond's arms

"Can he sleep in the bed with me?" Ameera squeaked through her tears.

Osmond pressed his lips to her hair once again as he waited for an answer. His eyes were spaced out and he hadn't slept at all. He could feel all of the volatility within her dream and it caused him pain. Knowing that the love of his life was in pain and he couldn't help her, but when her screams came to life---he took that as his chance to comfort her. Regardless of what was said to him.

Jess then kind of shrugged and kept the door wide open.

"Sleep well," Barbara urged as she guided her husband back to their room.

"Lay down," Osmond whispered as he scooted back---laying against the headboard in a somewhat upright position, he laid her down on top of him.

Her head rested on his chest, and he still cradled her in his arms, not wanting to let go. "I'm sorry," she whispered through a gasp of tears.

"For what?" he asked as he looked down at her.

"I know you had to feel that one---it hurt so bad and--" she stopped putting her hand to her head.

"You're fine, just go to sleep. I'm here and those dreams won't happen again."

She shut her eyes and drifted easily. She did sleep better knowing she was in Osmond's arms. She did feel safer and more comtent.

When the next day had arrived, Osmond and Ameera stayed laying in bed most of the day. They come down to have something to eat, though Ameera wasn't hungry. She had juice but she couldn't even fathom real food. Soon after---the teens had gone back to the room to sleep. Osmond was on the tired side since he didn't sleep at all and Ameera was trying to shake whatever illness she had. Barbara would check on them and so would Jess every so often. They were in the same position each time they were being checked on. They were sleeping on top of the blankets since the humid Arizona air had made its appearance, a little before noon. There was a very slight chance of rain, but it would not be cold at all---though it was super cloudy. Though by the time Ameera had even begun to feel awake, it was late morning.
