"Dad, seriously, we do not need all of these decorations. It's unnecessary." I state.
"Oh come on! It's our first Christmas as a family!" Logan exclaimed. Family...huh. I guess I've never really had one of those.
"Is Santa gonna come visit?!" Noah asks excitedly. I scoff before Logan coughs to cover it up.
"Of course he is. I even made a diss track against him. He might not like me, but you'll certainly get gifts. No coal in your stocking!" Logan says joyfully. I chuckle and continue to put ornaments on our huge Christmas tree.
After we finally finish putting up decorations, I decide to have some alone time in the backyard. I have a hiding space back there that no one else knows about other than me and Kong. It's behind the guest house that Logan remodeled to be his personal gym. If you sneak between some trees and rocks, you'll find my hide-out. If I just want to escape, I come back here to do it.
"Kong, I wonder what would've happened to us if Logan died." I say aloud, stroking Kong's fur as I lay on the damp grass. I turn my head to Kong, then back at the sky, the sun hitting my eyes causing me to squint.
"Emma?" A voice calls out. I smile and sit up to go greet my wonderful boyfriend.
"Hey." I say emerging out of the plants.
"I've missed you." Daniel says while holding his arms out to hug me.
"Dani, I saw you like 15 hours ago." I giggle.
"Worst 15 hours of my life." he grins. "Anyway, ready for our date?"
"Shit! I totally forgot! I'm so sorry. I'll go get ready." I say and run inside. I quickly take a shower, do my hair:
