Chapter 94

Emma's POV:

We step outside and get hit with the crisp scent on Helsinki, Finland. There's nothing around the airport. Just flatness. We get into two separate taxis, that take us to the hotel.

"We have a show in a few hours." Daniel tells me, entering our room.

"Okay. I can't wait to see London!" I say with excitement. He smiles and kisses my cheek.

"Boys! We need to get to the venue." Tyler calls out. The boys all get changed and go downstairs.

We arrive at the venue and I'm really nervous. I don't exactly know why though...

"Hey, stay here while we do sound check." Daniel instructs. I nod my head as I watch him run onto stage. I just stand there and admire him as he runs around on stage, happy to be alive.

After sound check, they start letting people in. We hear all the chatter amongst fans, parents, and workers. Eben goes out first, as he is the boys' opening act. I sit backstage, eating skittles a fan gave Zach.

"Stop eating my candy!" Zach whispers.

"No! I'm hungry!" I whisper back. He just rolls his eyes and turns around to join Daniel and Jack in a conversation. Corbyn is somewhere with Christina. I see Jonah approach me as I take another hand full of skittles.

"Hey." He smiles.

"Hi."

"Whatcha doin?" He asks, rubbing his hands together.

"Eating skittles. Are you good? You seem tense." I point out.

"Yeah, im a little nervous...but I mean, I have a right to be! We're playing for another country! In America, we know the culture and language but here...I don't really know anything about." He sighs.

"Hey, if it makes you feel any better, none of us do. I mean, I'm pretty sure Zach doesn't even know what country we're in. So just take a deep breath. Everything will be just fine." I say. He smiles, almost shocked that I was able to calm him down so quickly. I guess Eben finished his song because the music stopped.

"Show time boys! Get in positions!" Tyler yells.

"That's my cue." Jonah says and runs up to the rest of the boys. Eben comes backstage, sweaty, yet with a huge grin on his face.

"That was awesome!" He exclaims, falling down next to me on the couch. He pants, catching his breath.

"Man, I wish I had the guts to go out there and sing. But I...I would never." I sigh.

"Why? I've heard you sing, you have an amazing voice...besides, what's the difference from on stage to YouTube?" He asks.

"Well with youtube, I just record it by myself. On stage, it's like a whole other world...people staring at you, screaming anytime you hit a high note...it's just too much pressure." I say.

"Huh. Well for me, when I'm out there, I just focus on one thing. Before I start singing I will scope out the place. I usually stare at a light or spot on the ceiling, but sometimes there's a girl that I look at." He smirks.

"Pfft. Well I'm glad you have fun." I grin. I hear the boys music starting, so I rush to the wings of the stage to watch them perform.

They are about 4 songs in. The boys are all smiling, even though they are drenched in sweat. I lean on a wall, getting lost in a daydream. Then suddenly, I hear a horrific scream. It's not like the other girls'....this girl...she's in danger.

*slow claps* Im back. Yep. It took two months to write this....🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️I am so sorry once again. Ya know, sometimes I think that I need to just quit but I wouldn't do that to you guys. Not when the books about to end! Anyways, I start school again next Monday so I have to turn my notifications off. So if I'm not as active woh questions, that's why. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!
