Lynn's P.O.V.

I sit in the waiting room, waiting for my name to be called. I cough into my arm. My throat is so sore from coughing so much. I grab my phone out of my purse, not expecting any notifications but seeing Ethan's name. He texted me.

Ethan: You okay?

I open my phone and click on his contact. I hesitantly put the phone up to my ear, hearing it ring. I wait for him to answer the phone.

He picks up, "Hey."

I stay quiet for a couple seconds and then say, "Hi."

"How are you doing?" Ethan says.

"I don't know, anymore," I say.

"Talk to me. Tell me what you are thinking," he begs.

"I feel alone, I guess. Grayson barely talks to me and Monica never does and I can't talk to you. I just want everything to go back to normal. I don't understand what I did wrong," I explain.

"You didn't do anything wrong. I understand where you are coming from," he says.

"How are you and Monica doing?" I ask.

"Really well, actually. We talked everything out and she said she forgives me. She doesn't spend as much time as with as before but we are working on it?" he explains.

"That's great! I'm happy for you," I say.

"So, what happened earlier? I heard you yelling," he states.

"Me and Grayson got into an argument, I guess. I am tired of feeling like shit. So I left and he chased after me asking me where I was going. I did what he did to me and ignored him. He didn't like that all that much so I snapped. I told him that he needs to start acting like my husband and stop being stuck up Monica's ass. Then, I walked away and he said something to himself about some plan but I don't fucking get it," I explain.

"Oh," he says.

"Yeah," I answer back.

"So where did you go?" he asks.

"I had a doctor's appointment," I say.

"Oh. For what?" he asks.

"I have been puking and coughing and I'm scared that I might have something serious so I want to get it checked out," I say.

"Oh. Well good luck," he says.

The receptionist says my name.

"I have to go. I'll talk to you after my appointment," I say.

"Okay. Talk to you later. Good luck!" he says.

"Thanks, E," I say. I hang up the phone and set it in my purse as I walk towards the back, following the nurse. She goes to a room and tells me to sit on the uncomfortable paper that sits on the hospital bed.

The paper crinkles under me as I sit down.

"So what are we here today for?" The nurse asks.

"Just a checkup. I have been sick for the last week and it won't go away. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything super serious," I explain.

"Okay," the nurse says, "have you been eating?"

"I eat but it doesn't stay down," I say.

"Have you traveled any places in the last month?" she asks.

"Hawaii," I answer.

"Family trip?" she asks.

"No, my honeymoon," I answer.
