2 hours passed by and Liam took me to my psychologist meeting. We walked in silence for a while. When we got there we ended up being a few minutes early and we just decided to sit down and wait until my name was called.
"Kacie Thompson."
I stood up when i heard my name being called. Liam stood up with me.
"Kacie, I'll wait out here for you ok?" he said to me.
"Yeah, sure if you want too." I replied then started walking to the door.
I opened the door to find an older looking man. He was in a dark blue button up shirt with a black tie and black slacks. He's wearing black glasses and lookin down at his notebook writing something down.
"Um, hi I'm Kacie." I said awkwardly, shutting the door behind me. He looked up and my eyes meet gorgeous green eyes. Eyes that easily reminded me I Harry's. If not, the same exact eyes.
"Hello, Mrs. Thompson! My name is Mr. Styles. It's great to meet you, please have a seat!" He said to me with a smile. I stood there shocked.
Mr. Styles? Not related to Harry... Right?
"Are you alright Ms. Thompson?" He asked me with concerning eyes.
"Oh um, ye-yeah. I'm okay. My, uh, old friends last name was Styles too." I said as I sat down across from him.
"Well, it isn't a common last name for sure," He said to me. "So do you know why you're here?" he asked me, resting his elbows on his desk, folding his hands and resting his chin on them.
"Yeah, I guess. I was in the hospital a few days ago for 'attempting suicide'." I said quoting the last words.
"And why are you air quoting?"
"Because it wasn't meant to be a suicide. I didn't mean to cut that deep or anything. I just did it, lost control for once and then I woke up in the hospital." I explained sounding irritated.
"Well, to a doctor, it would seem like your 'commiting' as you would say. Yet I understand that you weren't." He explained.
"Now, you don't have to tell me this all in one meeting, but what made you go to a blade instead of a friend or someone you trusted."
Memories.
All the memories of the long night staying up on the phone with Harry flooded my head. All the reasons why I didn't trust any adult can to my head. My only friend to be taken away from me by age 18. My first love, my parents, anyone I cared for seemed to just attack my brain. How can I start off with just one reason without going into another. Why should I trust some man that just might be the dick of a father that left Harry at such a young age.
"Kacie? Talk to me. It's my job to listen to you for this hour." He says pulling me back.
"No offense Mr. Styles, but right not I don't want to even be here."
"No I understand, I had a son your age too. He never wanted to talk about his feelings either, but please know that talking is the best way to cope with your emotions." He explained to me.
Son? My age? No, please god, please let this man not be the man I hope for.
"May I ask, your sons name?" I asked my voice almost cracking and my eyes getting teary.
"Of course. Well his name is- well was- Harold. All though he preferred everyone to call him Harry." He said looking up from his notebook. "Why? Do you know him?" he asked me, his green eyes pleading, almost begging me to answer yes. Like the way Harry's eyes looked before they closed and he fell into eternal sleep.
How do you tell a man that you knew his dead son. That you dated, loved, and cared for his son. A man who left his family when Harry was only 10.
"Mr. Styles, I was his ex girlfriend. My only question for you is why. Why did you leave."
