Chapter 31

Liam and I took each other's hands and walked towards the door, together. We got to the door and Liam looked to me and kissed the side of my head.

"You'll be fine, love, promise." He said to me quietly.

"I know, I'm just nervous." I replied to him, smiling. I knocked on the door and walked in. Soft classical music was being played through out the house, there was only about 13 people here right now.

"Finally, you guys came in." Camille said walking up to you.

"I want to officially meet your second mom!" She said pulling my hand and pulling me away from Liam.

"You'll be ok." He mouthed and then walked over to Louis, Zayn and Niall. Camille pulled you around the house until she saw Anne.

"Come on Kacie! Please?" She begged.

"I didn't say no, so let's go." I said as I walked towards my second mum.

"Hi sweetie! How are you?" Anne exclaimed as she looked up from organizing the books.

"Hi, Anne! I'm good you?" I said back to her as i was pulled into a hug.

"Ok, your speech was simply fantastic, Harry would have cried." Anne said as she pulled away from the hug. I noticed that her eyes became glossy.

"Please don't cry, I'm done crying." I said to her.

"Who's this?" Anne said looking behind me.

"Oh, this is my friend from America, Camille. She's helped me in so many ways and she really wanted to meet you." I explained.

"Well hello there Camille! It's a pleaser to meet you, I'm glad you made the trip out for this, it's great that you're here for Kacie to support here."

"It's a pleaser to meet you too!" Camille said smiling. I left Camille and Anne alone to talk and everything. I walked over towards Liam and stood by his side the entire night. Louis was a joker the whole night, trying to mess with Liam the entire time.

It was going onto 4pm and I was starting to feel exhausted. I was starting to feel hungry but mostly sleepy. From all the crying and raw emotions that I have been feeling for the past few days. Liam noticed something was wrong and poked my cheek.

"What's wrong?" He asked me.

"I'm feeling hungry and sleepy." I said quietly.

"Then let's go to dinner!" Liam suggested.

"No, we don't have too. Louis doesn't have a ride home and I don't want to be a hassle."

"It's not a hassle, I'll go talk to louis." He said as he walked away.

"No, n-" I sighed. Liam walked over to Louis and tapped on his shoulder to get his attention. They exchanged a few words as Louis looked towards me and smiled while waving. I waved back and smirked at him. Liam laughed and gave him a hug, then started walking back to me.

"Alright, love, let's get going." he said as he took my hands in his and pulled me off the couch. I groaned showing him that I didn't want to move.

"Oh come on, lazy bum." He said smiling. We said bye to Anne and Gemma then continued our walk out to the car. We got in and he started the car. He looked at me before driving. He took my hand in his and kissed the top of my hand.

"Where do you want to go love?" He asked.

"I really don't care. Just somewhere so I can go home and sleep." I said honestly. He was quiet for a few seconds before putting the car in reverse and driving off. He didn't tell me where we were going, he kept this sly smile on his face.

The drive was silent, which was perfectly fine with me really. I have a lot on my mind now and I enjoy my free time to think. Liam pulled into a restaurant that I didn't know. It seems fancy but it was the type of restaurant that you didn't know until you walked in. Liam got out of the car and walked over to my side. He opened the door and held out his hand, I gladly took his hand into mine and held onto it as he helped me out of the car. We walked, hand in hand, towards the restaurant. He held the door open for me and I walked in.

"Welcome to Elephant's Lounge! How many?" The host asked.

"Just two, thanks." Liam answered and we followed the host to our table. We got to a table for two and Liam helped me into my seat.

"Oh thanks." I said quietly as I smiled at him when he sat down.

"Welcome, didn't know i was this hungry until I walked in, yeah?" Liam laughed.

"I was just thinking the same thing!" I laughed back as I heard my stomach grumble. We looked over our menus to decide what we wanted. I ended up choosing a pasta salad with chicken chunks and Liam went with a grilled chicken with mixed steamed vegetables and a bit of mashed potatoes.

"Hello! Welcome to Elephant's Lounge! My name's Sophia and I'll be your waiter today! What can I get started for you, drink wise, Miss?" The waiter asked. She had long brown hair pulled into a pony tail and her make up was simple but flawless. Her uniform consisted of a pair of black shoes, black pants and a white button up with a black tie and a black vest. She had the most dazzling smile any women could ask for and something a man would fall for.

"I'll just have a water?" I asked.

"Perfect, and for you Sir?" She asked as she wrote in her notepad. Liam looked up from his menu and his face instantly changed from tan to pale, like he saw a ghost.

"Liam? Are you ok?" I asked him, placing my hand over his, across the table.

Sophia looked up from her notepad and her dazzling million dollar smile disappeared. I noticed that he hands went to our hands and I instantly pulled away. Her eyes and Liam's locked and Liam instantly looked away.

"Liam?" Sophia asked.

"Yeah, Hi Sophia. I'll take the same as her, just a water. Thanks." He said in choppy sentences. He was upset about something.

"Yeah sure! I'll be right out with those then I'll take your order when I'm back!" She said with a smile and walked away with pep in her step.

"Liam? Do you know her?" I asked confused. Liam sighed and shook his head.

"That's my ex girlfriend..." He said slowly.

A/N: so I'm at a sleepover and I haven't slept at all. I was determined to finish this chapter during this sleepover. It's currently 7:20 and MTV has played the Amnesia and Don't Stop music video. It's too early go away thanks.
